25 July, 2016
It seems like the smaller of the two rumored HTC handsets will not share the QHD resolution of its sibling.

I hope that design is not the final one.Previous Nexus phones had good designs if not stunning ones, but this one looks quite poor.

RC255, 25 Jul 2016Explain the point of a twcie-as-high res screen. 2K screen... moresure for everyday use...but for VR is a must have, and SD820 have power enough to handle that!

i mean, bigger phone, bigger battery, better screen is a update, 6P have 2k and now 1080p is like have a ferrari and change it for a fiat!!

like OP3 do the same, OP2 2K and now OP3 1080p. i think the benchmarks apps is in the mood now and its for that brands are fighting.

2K screens are not necessary at this size. HTC have realised this.
I've had a OnePlus One sat next to a LG G4 (5.5" 1080 vs 5.5" 2k) and there is no obvious difference through every day use. They're still very much a gimmick.

Did u never read or hear about SD820 HUGE success since 2-3 months ago ot are u just some die-hard Apple fanboy who, once again, come to Android thread just to make fun of it?

Qualcomm takes back the reign of superior SoC from Samsung & Mediatek this year. with a SoC 1.5x better than SD 610 in raw power, GPU 2.5x better than Adreno 330, and DOES NOT HEAT MUCH, thanks to Kyro custom design, almost EVERY FLAGSHIP rigs out there use SD 820 SoC.
BTW, fanboy, with the release of SD 820 and its variants (821, 823), Apple A9 prowess is no longer a threat to Android rigs. Just like Apple, Qualcomm choose to refocus their efforts in strengthen their SoC raw power and bring their GPU to the next level og mobile gaming performance. If u want to compare, the current Adreno 530 should come close to Kepler Mobile GPU in Nvidia Tegra K1, the best mobile gaming GPU up to date

1080p is good. Btw, those on screen navigation buttons looks so horrible.
