alternatively if you really want high-end spec, go for OP3 it's around £310-330, Snapdragon 820, 6gb ram, 5.5inch 1080p amoled, 3000mAh with quick charge.. it's a flagship grade with best buck.. or Xiaomi
if ZUK Z2 available there, go grab it, the only downside of Z2 is only 5inch, Z2 pro is bigger but 3000mah and more pricier

I need a device that is 5.5 inches, has 4gb of ram, bigger than 3,000 mAh battery and a very good GPU for gaming.
A good camera is normally present when looking for those things so its not much of a deal breaker for me.
I don't wanna spend more than £400 and I don't need anything above 1080p tbh. Can't tell the difference too much.

Coming so soon after Helio X25, MTK has announced the X30 based on the 10 nm process and PowerVR GPU. So, next year we should see a Redmi Pro 2.

From my point of view, SD650/652 are the way to go, because offers good performance and battery life, whereas Mediatek chips aren't known to be battery-friendly and Helio X25 has known overheating issues.

A killer combination of dual camera, Helio X25 cpu, big battery, and Oled screen. Just great for photo taking and media viewing.

MTK is using 20nm or 28nm (not fully sure) processing node for Helio X20/25 chipsets. And that is the contributing factor for efficiency of Kirin 950/955.
Fact is - MTK is YET to make ONE efficient SoC. They make cheap SoCs, but only crap SoCs so far. Let them make ONE good SoC, then we can talk about MTK as useful SoC maker. Not saying it won't happen. Just that, it has NOT happened yet.
