If this original accessory is indeed manufactured in Vietnam, good luck to those who'll (need to) use/depend on it daily...
If you complain about made in China products, wait till the made in Vietnam products start to be a norm... The manufacturing defect(s) is/are real...

The next audio standard is USB Type-C audio.
Apple will always make such proprietary, non-universal (what will in all probability also be overpriced) stupidity to milk their crazed fanboys.
Soon third parties will sell this adapter for 1/4th the price Apple will charge.

It is true that a lot of android user hate leveraged at iphones is due to the 'high' iphone prices.. but just remember that whilst these are the many, there are significant sales of Android flagships as well.. so clearly, not all android users are broke, and some actually enjoy spending money on a high end product not made by apple.
I just see a lot of hate coming your way for that comment, which given the intention, might be to generate a flame war.
( I cannot believe GSM deleted my nice posts(even short ones) yet has forums filled with this type of stuff)

first things first.....
we still don't know where the headphone DAC is located for iPhone7
if it's still inside the phone, then the lightning is most likely sending an analog signal (which is a new thing because lightning ports back from iP5 till now couldn't send analog signals like the old huge port did), so there will be no huge changes in sound quality considering they're still using the same DAC as iP6s/Plus and the same earphone specs.
if it's located INSIDE the Lightning-3.5mm adapter like that, then no matter how good your earphones are, it will still sound like crap because you can't jam in good audio components inside such a small space like a small adapter cable
USB-C headphones? are you talking about LeEco's bundled earphones? :P

So this all boils down to the fact that I shall be able to use lightening headphones with iOS 10 on my 6s. Something I wanted to know from a while now.
But now, my question is why does it not support it currently with iOS 9.3? Since the lightening port already outputs digital audio which plays fine in my car in dock mode. Wheres the catch?
