Just wonder what news these are!
It's already known that new Docomo 2010 winter/2011 spring line has something special including this Panasonic. It's just a normal keitai. What so special in these news? I have a 5MP Canon Ixus 55 (Compact camera)and a 10.2MP Sony Alpha A200 (DSLR) and they can both produce studio quality Pics, 13+MP is unnecasary, but there are lots of people out there who dont know this and think the Higher the number, the better. and as long as consumers think that Companies like Panasonic, nokia, SE are going to keep selling them.
Remember retail is not Supply and Demand, its demand and then Supply - Go Figure.

Look now we are getting the others now reacting to Nokias N8,as they all saw it in April, an they thought lets join the Bandwagon an release something with a better camera on it to stop the big demand for the N8,an its Nokia own fault again letting the N8 get leaked out to early,i bet we get a Samsung an Sony Ericsson top mega-pixel one soon as well to dint the sales of the n8

Why are comanies still competing to see who can cram ever more megepixels into ever smaller sensors?
As it is I'm concerned (Until I see pics) about the N8's 12 Mp and this race to 13 / 14 mp is just plain crazy. Remember Canon reduced the pixel count (On a real cam) when going from the G10 to the G11, to IMPROVE image quality.
I suppose the hard-of-thinking will buy it regardles, because it "has more megapixels".

I remember the Panasonic GD-67 (http://www.gsmarena.com/panasonic_gd67-321.php) I bought one here in the UK on Vodafone years ago, first Phone with Colour screen if I remember correctly, you had a template so you could cut up images and magazines and use them as the rear cover. Cool phone.
Looking forward to Panasonic coming back especially to GSM markets, more competition is better for the consumer.

japanes goods are too expensive and this phone will be of no different. i agree with those that said this is for japanese market only coz they know they will have a hard time selling this to the world.

XCross, 01 Oct 2010Its megapixel competitions now? No more iphone killer wannabe? Iphone 4 has already commited suicide, there is no need to kill it. Busniness Week said that over 64% of those that brought iPhone 4 became angry with it's faults and has returned it for an Android device. We are are talking loyal Iphone users.
Apple is getting run over like a roadkill by Android as we speak. Smartphones have moved on to bigger and better things. Iphone still has the specsheet of a Nokia from 2007.
But i guess as long there are fruitcakes, social wannabes, 14 year old girls, posers and housewives with chihuahuas, there is always gonna be a market for iPhone.

Megapixels is nothing compared to lens, sensor and matrix. Get used to it, that more megapixels will not give you better photo qualitty.
