Panasonic teases with its 13MP Lumix phone

No offence, but Panasonic's LUMIX range are only good on their DSLR models. Their point-and-shoots... Well, they're ok but I've seen a lot better.
That said, I don't really expect this device to be sold outside Japan. Those dimensions just scream Japanese-market-only.

if nokia can put 1/1.8" sensor on N8 why not pana makes sth like that with a great leica lens.

I have maximum respect for Leica lenses. Let's hope that the OS does'nt let it down. No more Symbian, please

Aman, 01 Oct 2010I hate camphones just because they don't have optical zoom(... moreWell.... carry DSLR brick with you everywhere. Most of other people simply find it impractical. Optical zoom might be coming sooner than later. Look at those very slim point and shoot cameras with 3-5X zoom.
Phones have to pack a bit more stuff into the same body, but we are getting there.

We don't need a camera phone that capture picture which too vibrant to cheat users as if the picture quality is good.
