As miui have not given us full choice in ENGLISH. Hopefully when it comes out in full english i can piss google off and just have asian websights and sesrch engines. Samsung C5 that I have has the best translation ever but only available for use on samsung.

HAD TRY ONE. BOUGHT YESTERDAY. LOVED THE NOTE 1. still have it but will give it away. Great to see them available in USA. HOPE next port australia.

Finally a decent 5 inch phone being launched in India ...I say decent...it can't be compared with flagship processor at this price point....my only concern would be, if it is 4g future proof in India.... are band 800 / 850 MHz supported? Or can xiaomi launch a variant for Indian market with 850 MHz supported

I getmine from a reseller here in philippines and it comes with a free tpu case and tempered glass so i hope it will be the same in india :)

where everyones using an android phone nowadays, everything you do on your phone is visible and understandable to everyone, as such how encrypted it is against the likes of using sailfish OS, BB OS, Ubuntu OS or Updated Symbion OS?

They are not using Corning Gorilla glass, but they are using some other protection, which is good enough. You can see the durability test done by Jerryrigeverything on redmi 3 pro, which is also not using Gorilla glass.

Check out the some videos of the xiaomi in youtube regarding screen test you will get to know. For me this is the far best mobile for this price point.

One day you will drop them. I can assure you of that. Those two will protect your phone for that.
Even if you have gorilla glass, I'll still recommend you to get proper casing.
The store will still recommend you to get screen guard even if you have gorilla glass but i will say don't get one. Especially on amoled, it'll be highly reflective and ruin amoled screen readability in sunlight.
