Zach, 02 Aug 2016S7 Edge+ ! now with a pen! Great...*sarcasm*Its not an edge variant. The curved edge is extremely subtle, like simply a curved glass. Its to prevent cracks. Its there but its not really there. You won't be able to see the edge panel from the side because of its less curved. Thats why Samsung don't name it as Note7 edge. It simply Note7.

I am still getting compliments about my old S6 edge, while standard S6 looks just average old flagship. And "cool factor" is major choice when it comes to choosing between flagships which are already best of the best.

A Note 4 user, 02 Aug 2016So, only edge screen? ok, then 2 more Note 7 for you guys... moreYes the edge screen keeps the price point premium for bo good reason. These "edges" does nothing of practical value! Can anyone explain what the point is? Give us a flexible phone when the tech is ready, until then, flat displays...

Sorry but I beg to differ about the S6 Edge plus being a substitute for the Note 5 in Europe. If that was true why did they carry on selling the Note 4 at the same time for several months months afterwards? To make matters worse they won't even extend the update window for it. So people who bought it 6 months as it was still on sale are now probably stuffed for the next 18 months. The substitute for the Note 5 in Europe was the Note 4 otherwise they would have withdrawn it from sale much sooner.

my family will be upgrading to ZTE Axon 7 with flat screen.
also, we will get 2 phones for the price of 1 Note 7.

                        Good luck, Samsung!!

Edges goes too straight down. And it's not 2,5D, it's real 3D. You'll hardly be able to hold it in a hand without touching edges of screen. And Android doesn't have protection against accidental touches on edges.

Neither have any of my other phones ever had scratches on the sides for that matter. Even my Note 4, who used to slip out of my pocket quite a lot never had any major damage whatsoever, bar a scratch or two on the corners of the frame.

And no, the Edge screen does not scratch easily, it has the same Gorilla Glass 4 as all other flagships.

And yes, Edges get scratched pretty easily, screen protector IS A MUST, or tempered glass. Though mind the fact, that due to the case you use, you might not be able to have that tempered glass too, I would check it around.
