They're just as scratchproof as each other.

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2016I'd like to purchase this phone but some questions still re... moreAns 1) It's not very easy to use it with a cover as at times the cover does come in between. So you have to be very picky when buying a cover. The edge on the Note 7 looks slightly less round so I would imagine they not as bad as the S6 Edge ( the one I am using).

And 2) I have been using the S6 edge for over an year. I bought it on the launch day and still their are not scratch on the edge. I use an original Spigen cover with a screen guard. I have never seen anyone with any of the Samsung Edge phones with scratches. So I don't think it's a major problem.

I am not expecting any major update configuration wise too.

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2016I'd like to purchase this phone but some questions still re... moreIts even easier to handle the S7 edge with a bumper case, because without it you would touch the screen by mistake when you don't mean to.

I didn't notice that the edge screen gets scratched easily. Plus if you have a nice bumper on it would dramatically avoid that and severe drops. I dropped my phone a couple of time and its fine, the S7 edge might seem fragile but its not.

                        So i hope this helps.

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2016I'd like to purchase this phone but some questions still re... moreHonestly, the edges don't interfere with usage much. Using a case is fine but it depends on the type of case you will have. The back glass on the S7 Edge scratches a fair bit but the front is as hard and durable as they come. Not a single nick, scratch or flaw on the beautiful front panel, and I don't even use a screen protector.

Phone slipped out of my Samsung Cover one day and fell 5 feet down to the floor. There was a visible broken line across horizontally. Managed to get it repaired under warranty. Now 6 months after using phone, there are a few minor scratches here and there.

Julliard, 02 Aug 2016That glass won't break. It is using the all new Gorilla Gla... moreWow, then there shouldn't be the need for any protective covers... It doesn't say shatterless glass, but hey, just as long it's Gorilla glass 5, it can stand not even a crack from a 5-foot drop.

So those upcoming YouTube drop test that will show shattered glass back will be all fake... Got it, Chief.

                                *Thumbs up*

I'd like to purchase this phone but some questions still remain. Would appreciate if S7 edge users could help me answer these.
                                    1) Is it still convenient to use the Edge screen with a case?
                                    2) Is it true that the Edges get easily scratched?

Pedro-TheNeighbor, 02 Aug 2016Free Spigen? Yup, that glass back will break. That glass won't break. It is using the all new Gorilla Glass 5 that can survived up to 1.6 meter or 5 feet drops. Unless you deliberately throwing it up in the air or throw it from a tall building, it won't break. And nobody carry a hammer around hitting their phone screen. Stop watching those stupid youtube videos.

AadiRizvi, 02 Aug 2016Yeah first you hated glass bodies when Samsung was all plas... moreYou obviously don't know much about Samsung. You think Samsung only use glass? They still use plastic in the midrange and lower end category. I as a Samsung user don't hate aluminum back. For your information, Samsung do have metal back phone. Its is Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. You are blindly accusing us hating on everything but glass. I love glass, plastic and metal phone. They all good if designed nicely. You have to admit even some premium material like glass can be ugly if designed poorly. The ugliest of plastic can look extremely gorgeous when they are well designed. Samsung can't use or switch to metal back due to one reason only; wireless charging. Its like adding one feature and taking out the other. Users who already have wireless charging pad will be furious if Samsung get rid of the wireless charging for the sake of unbreakable metal. That would be a stupid move isn't it? Thus, the birth of Galaxy C series to ease them up.
