eldar "the guru" murtazin becomes paranoid, when it comes about nokia and its mobiles. Currently, many readers of mobile-review have a suspicion that he is paid by certain manufacturers for advertising. Accordingly, the bad treatment and test results from other devices, which does not have to do with their quality or characteristics. For this reason, many of his statement appear no more credible.

I have just bought Nokia N8. Still learning to master it. Before then I was using LG GW308. The N8 appears clumsy in typing txt message, the going back and forth to input method makes it cumbersome unlike my LG. Hope I'll derive fun from N8 that Nokia promises.

I've had my N8 for a month now and it works pretty good. It doesn't freeze or hang. Maybe problems with your N8 happen because of the way you handle the device. Every device has a limit and when you abuse it that's when problems arise. I've installed a handful of apps and all of Gameloft's HD Games for my phone and it still works fine.

The N8 does have flaws. The way you input text is not impressive. The fact that you are taken to another window just to type text is very tedious. The browser is a nightmare. On the flip side, the camera is great. The all around connectivity is fantastic.

I always read reviews from GSM Arena. I first stumbled upon this site when I was looking for the specs of the SE K700 way back 2005. I've always consult this site when I'm planning on buying a new phone.

I think the other reviewers have gone over the top with their criticism. I've read them all and they have got a lot of negative comments on the device and then a few sarcastic "positive comments." It is not fair. I've notice that they all put down Symbian^3 and its capabilities. I for one have used Android and iOS and yes. They are better than Symbian^3 but SYmbian^3 is not all that bad. It's a great improvement from the previous versions. That for me is already a great achievement for Nokia.

Giving a review means you have to befair and all. I don't know what dictionary they use because they seem to have a different definition for the word fair. I don't know about them but I use Webster's Dictionary ;)

Well, throughout the years, I have always trusted Gsmarena to be the best website for mobile reviews and it has always been. All the things which they told just now are really true. That's why I trust on only Gsmarena.....

Iam on my second N8. The first one was freezing when trying to open photos/pictures. I was given a brand new replacement. It is still doing the same thing. I did a SW Update. No improvement. Iam totally unhappy with this phone. Whats the good of having nice features when they don't work? Nokia seems to have lost it. I have read reviews of many people having freezing problems. Nokia should not release phones into the market if they are buggy. It is just not right! I have always used nokia, but I will consider other brands when renewing my phone contract the next time.

I have got myself a N8 3 days back...man its amazing. I am sure there can be product flaws with some people as it happens with most of the electronic equipments but that shouldn't be generalized. GPS even in India is working like charm. Camera is real cool. Audio and free OVI music is awesome and oh yes the games great man! Still finding a software to test my HD mkv movies.

                      Thanks

                          N8 problems?

Serves you right for handing your hard earned money to purchase a piece of turd. Make that an early adopter of a polished turd.

That'll teach you to give more money to Nokia in 2011.

Sure, all new bleeding edge phones have problems here and there, it's inevitable. But this quality is unacceptable for a phone that's been delayed for so long.

I really don't understand why the american media is so against Nokia.

In my oppinion they hate anything that is not american. Now they love Motorola, Sony, Samsung... just because they use an OS produced by americans??

Unfortunately there's no perfect phone... Blackberry has the best push mail, and nothing more; iPhone has the best touch screem and internet; Android is an improved symbian... and for them it's ok. But if Nokia has not the "best everything" so forget it, it's crap...

Nokia is not the best, but it's the right one for a lot of people. For example, I'd love to have an iPhone, but I can't imagen myself answering long e-mails with no qwert keyboard and I love the test apps that I chose, not that someone chose for me.

And the funniest part is that while the american media protects the american products from europeans products... there's a lot of europeans that agree with them when they are not even fair!!!

Well, certainly N8 uses a inferior OS but the device isn't that bad. Okay it is for that price but you get the point, reviews should be fair.

in top gear, jeremy clarkson said this about the mercedes benz sls amg. 'to be honest, im actually quite smitten by the SLS.
