Nokia N8 gets lots of stick in early reviews, we wonder why

Thanks, GSM Arena, for this kind of fairness. I'm sure N8 and the other upcoming S3-Devices will make their way. Maybe the first steps will be not so easy because of some stones, but it will become smoother. It's not the 2 hours review blogger but the daily user who has to justify about Nokias new devices. Sadly, the bloggers could change some minds before finding out by oneself.

Andrei, 03 Oct 2010Well, my oppinion is that while you do some great reviews o... moreGizmodo, Engadget deliberately doing a unfair comparison. It's CLEAR and those deny that were probably fanboy of iPhone (or other smartphone). Symbian^3 UI probably sucks, but most of us user can probably ignored it (especially symbian users).

I totally agree with u GSMA.. i have noticed this on several websites wherein they have even gone to the extent of doctoring the results to make others handsets cameras win over the n8.
the n8 might not be the best as compared to other handsets in every aspect. but it is a decent enough handset. should be given a fair chance for reviews.

Well, my oppinion is that while you do some great reviews on phones you are a bit pro nokia, which is not ok given the fact that symbian os is far from ios or android or palm OSs. I also belive that the specs don't matter that much in comparison to the OS or the applications that are available.

I completely agree with GSMArena. I have been following Elder murtza blog for over 2 years and since 4-5 months this guy is criticizing all of Nokia products. I can't believe a mature journalist can do this.

kudos to u,gsmarena!i've had a look at engadget, they biased there pic against nokia, look at all the pics n8 seems zoomed in yet if u look closely the pics contain still so much detail!
As for other sites, they seem to rush the reviews and be the 1st to review it.pointless. None of the early reviews talkid about usb otg, hdmi etc, seems like they made up the review based on specifications alone!
Im waiting for your thoroughly in-depth review before i take the plunge with N8
Keep up the good work guys!
