You guys are the best. I don't listen to any other review site anymore. The Gizmodo article really ticked me off.

Im inclined to agree, there is a lot of anti-nokia bias going on generally everywhere.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2010Well, The lack of bais in GSM arena is the reason I am such... moreYes. GSMArena, MobileBurn and MobileTechReview remain some of the fairest sites for mobile phone reviews. All of the others seem to go to great lengths to make sure that their personal preference is personified throughout their blogs. And today, they have Nokia in their bulls eye.

I'm not saying nothing like "Nokia is perfect and beats all the rest" or some other fanboy spout, but I believe the N8 is a pretty good phone, and the blogs are really letting their bias show through their articles and reviews. It's pretty sad.

Good on GSMArena and the other blogs I've mentioned. Keep up the good work!

+1 GSMarena, for your fairness, I know you have always been.
Now do your own work. Compare N8 with other 12MP camera phones for performance in camera department. Also, have a fair comparison of it against good competitive phone with like HTC desire in terms of usability, speed. functionality and performance like you did before (Galaxy S vs Iphone 4).
Be fair and constructive as much as possible. This will be your answer to all these sites with fanboish (so called) journalist.
                    All the best :)

I really don't know whether gsmarena mods and reviewers are aware of this, but even those who are regular readers/posters of other sites depend on you people for the most neutral and scientific review (esp. the audio/speaker quality tests and the iso chart, those are my favorites!). But I guess you guys should be a bit more careful when reviewing some run-of-the-mill models, as you've mentioned the e5 having a transflective display, while it hasn't got one. Anyways, looking forward to a great N8 review!

really that gizmodo video wasn't fair at all !

I won't deny the N8 isn't the fastest mobile but this was ridiculous, the guy kept hesitating all the time while the other 2 seems to know how their mobile works. I'll bet that if the guy would have the blackberry in his hand the results would be even worse(the BB interface isn't made to pick up in a second for beginners)

I'm waiting for your fair review of the N8

+1 billion for Gsmarena. I am sick of reading all biased reviews on the net about n8. Especially that video you guys mentioned; he doesn't even know how to use a symbian device and it looks like the other two have clearly used those devices for a pretty long time. Please give us an unbiased review and take your time but not too much ;)

but i still think my n900 overclocked, with custom speedy transitions, and android 2.2 is better, hell i think my n900 is the best .

No matter what nokia do, the biased american websites will never give any of nokias products any chance. They have to promote their own "American Culture". I am certainly not against ios and android. They are good operating systems but cant beat symbian on maturity in the OS. The only things they offer better are eye candy and fast processors. Symbian offers me lots of options which both android and ios dont plus very good management of resources which gives it better battery capacity. Nokia are going through a transition period. The taste of consumers took a sudden change and both android and ios have taken good advantage of it. Nokia are a big company and they cant change their direction in a matter of days. It will take time but i truly believe the company which will have the last laugh will be Nokia. I wonder why the american media thinks it represents the whole world with its views. Thats the same reason i dont watch any of their news channels. They are really good in creating perceptions. Politics is a big example. I just hope Nokia does not give up on Symbian. There are still millions of people used 2 the OS. Google and Apple are winning the battle and u can guess who will win the War. Jst my two cents worth.

Andrei, 03 Oct 2010Well, my oppinion is that while you do some great reviews o... moreI think you cant read. They said they have their own criticism, but they think those other sites are sending out bogus comparisons, which they are, as proven here:

                                      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bJ018LZjLc

Having said that, things are always a matter of opinion, and thus the actual performance is open for interpretation. The point is, actual performance should be shown, not something that was rigged together. And we have to ask WHY this is being done. Think about that for a second. What is the motive here?

i think that all the people writing there comments on how "bad" the N8 is, don't had the final retail version of the phone...

                                        that's why i'm waiting for gsmarena's review ;)
