Windows 10 Anniversary Update is now rolling out

As promised, Microsoft has started the rollout of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update today. This will be going out in stages to all computers running Windows 10 (and that's more than 350 million devices as of the end of June). Because of the slow rollout, you're probably not going to see the update notification today, but it should arrive within the next few days.

    AnonD-411799, 02 Aug 2016at least you got win 10! we are left with 8.1.If you still are on 8.1 then you are one of the really lucky ones because 10 totally sucks! I do not know how much Microsoft paid for the many "good" reviews, and Microsoft have a lot of blind fans that simply lie about how "good" 10 is, both on laptops... and on phones!

      The Windows Insider prerelease of the anniversary update totally crashed my Lumia 604, so Microsoft have BIG problems with Windows 10 Mobile, it totally sucks! I do not dare install the anniversary update on my laptop, and my next laptod will be from Apple, and my Lumia 640 was my worst buy ever because of Windows 10 Mobile! Never again Microsoft for me!

        Version 1607 windows anniversary update ceeding now, from 1511. It's big and lengthy, but no major face-lift. Ink app for writing notes s pen. Overhaul mainly it's on PCs not mobiles. May take time. What next to a dead OS n Mobile.

Had that happen to my M8, had issues using the Redsone (Anniversary Update) build during the insider preview releases, crashes/app hangs/messaging issues etc., but it was unsupported anyway. Version 1511 I was able to use the M8 as a daily driver just fine. Ironically the current unsupported phone that I don't use out anywhere works just fine.

                            It's something it does before loading up all the OS, just on some temporary type of "update shell".

                            Wonder if this update will fix what they messed up on WLAN for me, I've rolled back all the way to the last stable ISO they released, and haven't updated the whole OS since, every single update just kept the same WLAN bug they introduced on the previous big system update.

                              I'm on the insider builds for mobile. And the latest update messed up my phone. Random reboots, random freezing. Doesn't happen too often but shouldn't at all. There is a new revision in testing so hope that's better. Phone was great the revision prior to this current one. Odd.

                                I have version 1607 running on an unsupported phone at the moment. This through the insider program. Almost zero issues with it so far, and battery life is vastly improved. I don't use cellular data since this is just a phone to use around the home on wifi, but it goes easily 5 days on light usage. UI is super responsive and the little tweaks here and there are noticeable improvements to me...It is at version 10.0.14393.5 currently and I look forward to the refinements in this build going forward.
