Long time ago nokia abandoned their meego project (because they prefer that sh!tty windows).
And then samsung+intel took over this project and make it fully opensource. And rename it to tizen.
You better check wikipedia if you want to know more about tizen.
The apps in tizen are devoleped using html5, javascript, and c++. No java in there.

I had Samsung Bada Wave and screen was best I have ever seen but that did not get far but I enjoyed device it was full metal,shutter button,superb battery,never crashed. If Tizen is spin off of Bada in someway like underlying code then Tizen could be good. I am UK and some good phones like Samsung Android flip models,Casio etc never come here and don't think Tizen phone was in UK.
I started this comment to say I am all for a fresh new O/S and if it is Tizen and it gets lots of apps and support it could take off plus fact I think Samsung is wanting to eventually distance itself from Android and be independent like Apple with its own O/S.

I'm waiting Tizen to come on high-end phones(GNote) internationally, and will buy it at the first day.

Samsung Tizen Z3 seems a better option for those who are into Tizen OS. I am currently using Sailfish OS 2.0 and its better than Tizen OS any day. (;

Whatsapp, mxplayer, facebook messanger, opera mini, and instagram are already available for tizen platform.
Those apps is more than enough for me.
I will switch to to tizen if it is available in my country, sadly it isn't.
Indians should be grateful being able to use this "no java sh!t" os earlier.

Tizen is much better than Android and iOS. This is the fastest and cost-effective operating system. Many people in rich countries would like to have smartphones with Tizen OS. It is very sad that in India many people do not understand.

Tizen is faster than android because it doesnt use java sh!t. I hope someday tizen will crush android.

A9 pro...are they kidding? A9 pro is 210gm...too heavy for every one...mate 8 is just 185 gm.... Samsung should make their phone easy to carry...
