Unless you work in enterprise or government agency it shouldn't matter to you that much, unless you're the super paranoid tinfoil hat wearing type.

AnonD-312515, 12 Aug 2016Android is secure enough, no software is fully foolproof. Secure enough for what?
Android is the least secure OS out there. Not even Knox makes it at least as secure as Windows or iOS.

Google and Samsung are the only two companies that are serious about timely security updates, and Cyanogen Inc supported devices too.

Device: SM-G920F, AP: G920FXXS4DPG6, CP: G920FXXS4DPG3, CSC: G920FOJV3DPF3. Country code XSG
My phone rarely goes to 4G, drops calls and 'remains out of range' after the latest OTA update in the last week of July 2016. Phone confirmed faulty by swapping SIM card over to another phone. Factory reset and re-initialise using Smart Switch tried, nil fix. The phone is now almost useless. Waiting for the next OTA, hope it gets fixed. It is almost impossible to restore a previous version as Samsung recently removed that option from their bootloaders. Good luck, Sam. You just killed your smartest child.

as usual new updates enhanced performance slightly per month. however this update is not recommended.
beware ones you update you will no longer be able to revert/downgrade back to old software aka stock rom.

AnonD-296165, 10 Aug 2016Wow, that's fast, considering there's the Note 7 to support too.Hm, security updates monthly are not the same as "updates" youd get from a Nexus, altough they too have monthly security updates. Not to mention international versions always get updated faster.

This biggest mistake ever made by android software at this time is the options we have . What if i don t want to uptade my device software and i want the old one ?? Why they make us do that ?? Why there is no option to cancel update or never update ??
