As per my opinion this mobile is only for rough use, its camera & sound quality is not good base on specification. so overall my view is clear about this,

You can buy Redmi note 3 2GB version if
1. You want to use mobile for 1 year.
2. Need better camera.
You should buy Redmi 3s prime if
1. You have long term plan , say 2-3 years, to use it.
2. Camera is of least importance to you.
Because year after year the apps will become heavier. So after 2 years a 2GB mobile like Redmi note 3 may not perform as smooth as it does at present.
Presently i use redmi note 3 2GB version. It can handle any task with complete smoothness. I never miss the 3GB RAM. But i have a habbit of using mobiles for at max 6 months.

I am using Redmi note 3 and the camera quality is average( it is not poor as some people say). But Redmi note 3 is a great VFM in terms of performance, battery.
If you care only about camera, go for Moto G4 plus. It has best camera within Rs.15000 price range.
Redmi note 3 is for heavy users. For moderate and light users Moto G4 plus is the best.

My phone is delivered today to my friend as COD is not available in my PIN code. I am preparing to go to his home but it's raining heavy in West Bengal and I can't get out as of now. Planning to get out within a couple of hour.

note 3 is currently available on fk @ 10% discount, so price is equal to 3s prime...
i have no issues with 5" or 5.5", so can't decide on that, also card slot is available so 16 gigs is not an issue as well,....
which has a better vfm, both being priced equally?
5" screen used in 3s is a hd & 5.5" used in note 3 is a full hd display. now you decide... hd or full hd.
you can ignore internal storage capacity, as both are expandable...
at this price point... 3s has much better vfm, as it has more ram, boots android m & a good battery...
remember, miui is a heavily modified android os & consumes more than 1 gb of ram itself. in my opinion, either buy a 3s or a note 3... buy it with a 3gb ram config.

Redmi 3S Prime specification says that it has 5 MP front camera but in reality the quality of front camera is not even 0.05 MP :-( the worst quality of all mobiles.

I will say its a fake news by Xiaomi India. I checked it after 2 hours of launch and all three colour variants were available in flipkart.

Which should be bett... moreSpend another 2K more and go for redmi note 3 prime... Its worth the extra money...
But if you have to choose between the 2, you should go for redmi 3s prime if camera and gaming isnt topmost of priority... You get better battery life, better ram, double storage, comfortable hold, and Android M out of the box.
