The phone will apparently be made official next month, as a successor of sorts to the Le 2.

Software updates suck, even for apple and samsung. You better stick to what you have as default till you get the next device.

They will make the first and ONLY 200 phones and go make the next set of 200 phones with extra hardware features. You may finally get engineering sample and thats about it. You will be at the mercy of some custom ROM folks out in the wild

Moto Mods seems the best solution for that at the moment. Battery cases are bulky and power banks are cumbersome and inefficient.

This is why Samsung gave Note 4 (non-Lite) 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage in China. Chinese phones are already way better than Samsung's flagship and cheaper too.

To those commenting about better battery life - I have a solution - BUILD THICKER PHONES! I don't know why everyone wants such thin mobile phones. Personally, I'd prefer a thicker and chunkier phone if it mean longer battery life.

Notging we can do. Nothing engineer can do either. You want battery innovation? Then all smartphone will need to adopt a new battery format-if any engineer ever invent one to replace the bulky Li-ion and Li-Po battery that make designs limited. We need thin and powerful battery that can lasts weeks. Well, at least we change micro usb to usb type c. That a good start. So far we can only improve on the charging speed. Battery wise, we got nothing.

i hope one day Samsung and other brands today will be like LeEco. We are tired of same specs each year just different name. Give us something really new and cool for normal price. Not for 800-1k eur :)

Ohhha........ Now Le 2s .... What about the Le2 pro? I was waiting from the last month for the release of Le2 pro in india on flipkart, as it was expected to release on 10th of August (as stated by priceraja.com) As it has approximate the same specifications as Le Max 2 with a price difference of nearly 7K.

So when LeEco is releasing le 2 pro in india on flipkart?
Or which is their next product going to be launched in india?
Is there any e-mail address of the company to contact them about the same?

LeEco as a OEM definitely has a futuristic approach and providing flagship worth specifications in a very affordable price tags. I'm currently using a Le 2 which is a block buster phone at a dirt cheap price. LeEco already has a strong brand presence in over-crowded markets like China and India. Now all they need to do is providing a quality after sale services and timely OTA updates. Way to go LeEco :) Keep surprising us :)

Anyway my point is this, when a phone improves it's specs in terms of Cpu, ram and OS, it shouldn't neglect other aspects of the phone's characteristics like the battery life, which most premium phones do these days.
