The HTC 10 is a very solid phone. This maybe more due to the fact that they made so much lackluster products for so long. It ruined their reputation before they could come up with their most balanced smarphone yet.

I actually went to a few T-Mobile stores in the beginning and they did not actually carry the device.

It was online only or 50 miles away.

                            - Unremarkable, overly rounded design without a sense of sophistication
                            - Chamfered edges don't do jack to make it look appealing
                            - No killer features to make it stand apart from the elites (S7 Edge, G5 etc.)
                            - Way overpriced compared to many similarly capable phones (OP3, MI5, SD650 phones)
                            - Stupidity of having different editions for different markets
                            - Ram could have been 6GB
                            - Poor to non-existent marketing

Is this even a surprise? That this device has literally no place in a market flooded with seriously capable SD 650, SD 652, Helio X20 and X25 phones, and the Chinese flagships fitted with the 810, 820, all of which are priced about half of this device?

No place amongst the elites, and no additional value over a Chinese flagship, and for the flaunters, HTC was never an "aspirational" brand anyway - that's always been Apple / Samsung territory (largely Apple).

HTC, you're a done deal. Phone should have been at least 30% cheaper.

Same is its fate in India, and other Asian countries, specially major mobile consumer markets. I guess HTC thought process is not aligned. They came up with this brilliant phone but they missed out the dual sim. Its a make or break deal for many many.

Announcing HTC 10 lifestyle in India episode also was a big setback for them. And they never formally announce HTC 10's availability in India when now it is already available.
