Looks like some great WP7 phones are making their appearance. The only thing that WP7 needs now is a good application store.

3m, 11 Oct 2010And people keep criticizing Nokia for S^3... ha ha ha nicely said... sometimes i really wonder how brilliant the symbian programmers are (a full blown os runs very well on 256 ram and on shitty cortex 11- 680MHz proc using
only 1200 mAh battery... i wish visually updated symbian on laptops and netpads...)

The reason that the Omnia 7 has a Qualcomm processor, and not one of Samsung's own Hummingbirds, is because of Microsoft's new, stricter hardware requirements. Their requirements state that the phone must be run on a Qualcomm processor, and (for now) nothing else.

Jean, 11 Oct 2010Yes, you can of course, maybe i wasn't clear. you can have... moreSorry, I misunderstood you.

Personally I draw my judgement on the usability of the OS as a whole for my daily needs. Looks are a subjective thing, so it's hard to discuss that. I don't like how WP7 looks, I actually enjoyed WinMo in the old days (especially with the TouchWiz UI it was quite slick). Now, as for usability, the old WinMo beats WP7 hands down in every respect. I just don't understand who the new OS is aimed at. Nerds won't like it, it's too simple. Powerusers won't either, it has too many limitations (memory, file transfer protocol, limited file extentions). So maybe for the casual user, I don't know.

you can have an opinion, but unless it's based on experience, it just comes across as bias towards whatever you think is better.

No real point of differentiation. Like having a V8 car running on old wooden wheels (WP7)!

For the love of God why didn't they do a beautiful metalic back-cover .. I haven't bought a Samsung since C100 (lulz) and all Galaxy-S/Omnia are cheap materials .. I just love the front cover , the back one looks from like it was from other phone . Will wait for the oficial WP7 announcement and see all phones
