Walker, 16 Aug 2016I surely prefer stock android, fast updates and other raw g... moreBeing an owner of both the 5X and 6p I must say that the 5X is better value of money than the 6p and a much better and well rounded phone in its' generation time than the 5 was..

I would be tempted to buy one of these or the other new pending HTC release but only if you incorporate that matchless and stunning HTC A9 glass to frame smoothness. It remains the best premium in hand feel to date. No question about it.

Why can't Sony get a shot at a Nexus phone? Why are we only getting leaks for the sailfish? Where's some Marlins leaks?

HTC had been working closely with Big G on software updates and sense UI dev
(unlike some manufacturers who'll only push Android updates after a whole year, or never *Cough*)
HTC phones flopped for their cameras, shit pricing n marketing
but they were known to be built like a tank.
Look at your flimsy plastic 5X
and your 6P that will snap in half (#JerryRigEverything)
Big G knows they need to step up a notch in build quality this year for Nexus
so there's just one company to find.
hopefully the pricing won't be stupid.
fyi HTC made the first ever nexus.

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2016I know Samsung has many customers but boy oh boy how I wish... moreHTC's Achilles' heel is marketing. Though since they're partnered with Google on this one, one can expect the aforementioned issue to be somewhat solved.

I actually don't mind the bezel size at all. What do I care though is symmetry. HTC/Google could make the bezels as humongous as possible for all I care, it's just they should be symmetrical in size. At worst, don't make the top bezel bigger than the bottom one...

Oh and it looks like it isn't that thick after all...

If it's plastic then why would they put antenna lines in there.

I surely prefer stock android, fast updates and other raw goodies, Can work with not very great design and build material. But if battery and bezels are that worse, then it just sucks. And I don't think HTC is all to blame for that, Its Nexus brand that always had shit battery and design, nexus 5 was only good phone with design. Nexus 6P just worked because folks needed to update and it was better than both nexus 5 and 6 in all terms. But that's not the case anymore, This phone is bound to suffer fate of 5X if they just not got their senses back. Hell, I'm waiting for new Nokia.
