I think the... moreI've heard they will release both ps4s this fall and the main reason sony didn't fully showcase their soon to release neo and slim is because they wanted to avoid direct comparison with the superior xbox counterparts, and they would only unveil once the xbox slim and scorpio's hype slowed down.

I think the Scorpio's extra GPU horsepower and the One S' extra capabilities has backed Sony into a corner that they won't get out of for at least a year... Unless they start releasing incremental hardware updates like their phone range.

Even with the 'Neo' and the more graphically powerful 'Scorpio' (in terms of TFLOPS anyway) it's still a massive massive effort and games will take even longer for release because of the optimisation that will have to take place. Optimisations which may well help produce 4k resolution games but at what cost? Less flora and detail in game probably. Consoles are a long way from proper 4k capable gaming.

Ps4 slim with no full 4k video support? I think microsoft really took sony by surprise at E3. Seems like xbox one s>ps4 slim, xbox scorpio>>>ps neo

Taking out SP/DIF is a dumb move to be honest. I mean the standard literally has SONY in its name. But I guess they're doing this so that new buyers have more incentive to buy the Neo.

Then how come Sony has been asking developers to start making games 2K and 4K? Current PS4 games will be upscaled, yes, but new games will be 1080p, 2K, or 4K, according to Sony. The 2K and 4K games will downscaled when played on the current PS4 console.

I liked the PS4's design, this is a cosmetic downgrade, resembling more a prototype or worse a previous generation console. Oh well.

Lots of hating comments on here saying Microsoft is best lol the sales speak for themselfs second best selling console if all time is the ps4 next to ps2 no mention of Microsoft Scorpio will be their last hurra I believe before they tap out.
