HTC Desire HD now available in UK online stores

20 October, 2010
The HTC Desire HD has been featured in numerous pre-release articles but it's only now that you are finally able to go and actually buy it. It's just you won't have to go anywhere as it's available in the online UK stores...

Ethen, 21 Oct 2010If anyone of u is thinking of goin for the hd7 instead of t... moreThe problem is that Windows Phone 7 is another OS running on a few more capacitive touch screen phones in an environment where iPhone broke through first then Android second with a flurry of handsets running slightly customised versions of the same OS. The iPhone is established and so is Android, it took time to get to their respective positions but they succeeded because there was very little in the way of serious competition. Windows Phone 7 is a complete overhaul of an ageing OS starting from scratch in a market overrun with iPhone class smartphones - a close call in my opinion.

I can't believe the amount of biased rubbish people put on here!
it would be much better if more people would put constructive info on the phones not just rubbish other peoples opinions!
Ok rant over! i am looking forward to my desire hd arriving! i have had the hd2 and personally didnt get on with the windows operating system so always said if they bought out an android version i would get it! have also had the desire and the galaxy s both of which are very good phones! but again personally for me the htc ui and android work for me!

If anyone of u is thinking of goin for the hd7 instead of the desire hd...its a mistake ur gonna make...
The windows 7 is good but has many disadvantages like no file manager,no bluetooth transfer,no copy and paste,no tethering, memory card not readable on PC,Zune depende software for media transfer or sync...
                    Its quite tacky.
I think that the Desire Hd is the best model right now with the best config and features too.

I love my Hero but it is not up there with today's offering since its been out for over a year, hence why I wanted the latest and greatest from HTC which is the Desire HD but it is not as good as I anticipated, is what I am basically trying to say. The iPhone is not my cup of tea but that doesn't make it a bad phone. And regarding you last words you must be joking I'm just a normal user who IS NOT PAID by Samsung or anyone to comment!

I'm positive towards the Samsung because I feel they have done a good job with the Galaxy S [why do you think it is one of the highest rated phones on this site by , surely it is not perfect as is any phone perfect but it fits my needs.

Using the camera. Just like the Hero and Legend which I also owned for a few weeks.

You are little too positive towards the Samsung and elegantly negative towards HTC and iPhone.... Surely this must be a paid posting by Samsung. You know - when discovered this can really backfire.

Day 5 with my HD, loving he album cover swipe in music player, great for skipping tracks when it's linked to my in car bluetooth stereo. Also doing well on Angry Birds :) 3 Golden eggs so far!

Had a play with one yesterday. As a Desire owner, I was really disappointed with the Desire HD. There's no doubt it's a better phone, but it's HUGE! Carrying a bulky Desire HD is totally out of the question for me. I certainly wouldn't advise any Desire owners to look at this as an upgrade. I'd wait to see what HTC have up their sleeves next year...

For those who are interested in overclocking their phones, look at HTC G2, people are reporting that they are successfully overclocking their CPU at very high clock speeds! Also look at the score!

                                        http://smartphonebenchmarks.com

Given that MSM8255 is a sibling to MSM7230, I expect this phone to overclock well too.
