UzI, 21 Oct 2010I was really looking forward to this phone as my next upgra... morelook at comment below and look at the news.
clearly galaxy s has some lag issue and even if it has more powerful cpu, desire hd with it's 768mb ram is the king of benchmarks.
while galaxy s has better handling size and super amoled in its favour.
I personally would still choose desire hd.

Ed , 20 Oct 2010What's better - this or the Galaxy with Froyo?I was really looking forward to this phone as my next upgrade [currently using HTC Hero] and I'm a bit disappointed, I've tried the phone at phones4u it is difficult to hold, weighs a ton has a slow camera and has the same UI more or less as the Hero which is just boring since I've been using it for over a year! Also it is pretty expensive at the moment.
Now I have decided to get a Samsung Galaxy S instead, [wanted an OmniaHD when I got a Hero but it was cursed with Symbian :(] tried it out at the store and its got the best screen ever on a phone period, my brother uses a iPhone 4 it may be sharp screen-wise but it is not as appetizing to the eye as the Galaxy S with its deeeeeeeeeep blacks and popping colours, the camera was an important factor for me and surprisingly it worked very well in dark conditions which is exactly what I needed and the shape is very easy to grasp with your hand, its got a really nice UI with great new features like music equalizer and app rearranging. But the best thing is that now the phone has been out for some time it is considerably cheaper then the 'Desire HD'
..so I can't wait for my powerful Galaxy S [the most powerful CPU-wise] to arrive next week.

It's beautiful but the lack of battery life kills it. If a phone can't even manage a full day without recharging then it's functionally useless.

This is a very very good phone! I love it, yes the size is huge, but trust me it's much better than the galaxy buggy froyo last update. Htc has no bugs with froyo like samsung.
So if you really want a very good phone with android go with this one, you won't regret it at all.

Too late to the market. No with the superior Windows Phones I will get a HD7 as android is too fragmented and not user friendly.

All these HTC models look more or less same........and this home-screen of theirs is just so ugly and repulsive...........

Besides I would prefer a month-late review from these guys rather than looking at superficial and unprofessional reviews that you can find all over the web. Not to mention biased opinions on handsets.

This is an amazing phone better than Galaxy s but only problem is the battery a bit poor not bad just wish they would have put in 1500
