Anonymous, 20 Oct 2010 all you said is bull sh*t the other guy is right, your ju... moreNot all of what that fellow said is off.

LCD panel markets (alas, the TV market today) are completely dominated by Samsung at the moment. Heck, having worked for Samsung's engineering department, I even know (as do some others) that Samsung's been providing Sony with Samsung LCD panels for the low-mind range TVs.
In the late '90s Sony thought they'd invest heavily on projector technology, while Samsung decided to go the other way with LCD panels. The result, you see today. Sony's on their way up, yes, but as far as I'm concerned they're playing catch-up.

To add to that, Sony Ericsson phones sold in Western / European markets are designed by ERICSSON. You should see Sony Ericsson phones in Japan; they're designed, built and manufactured by SONY. Granted they operate on a completely different market environment, but docomo and softbank phones in Japan are EXTREMELY reliable. Though not too popular these days with the gradual stream of international phones like the iPhone.

As for me, I will consider Sony first when it comes to audio-equipment; headphones most notable. I find them extremely reliable and long-lasting when used the right way.

    ...though on the subject...
It's said but true; 2.1 is at least a year behind. You wonder how SE is keeping its fan base, with the odd exception of the completely blinded-by-loyalty individuals...

all you said is bull sh*t the other guy is right, your just a sony hater nothing more.

Actions speaks louder than words and se just made 49 million profit, this means they are recovering and going forward not the opposite way around.

The good news is that the 2.1 upgrade from se will not be as buggy, slow, corrupted as the froyo on the samsung galaxy s.

So overall when it comes to speed, stability and reliability se still owns samsung :D

For SE: you fail. This is something everyone was expecting a year ago.

I am ashamed that SonyEricsson is a Swedish company, because this video shows how far behind SE and X10 is, this video should have been here a year ago. 2.1 now a year after everyone else is so extremly bad. SE should have moved sirectly to 2.2 if anyone would take them seriously.
I do not like the look of Timescape, but SE users are ok with Android 1.6 so I guess they do not demand any nicer look than this.
Android is a great os, but SE is bad for Android.

When you select a contact it is very difficult to press the tiny area to select the number to call. This urgently needs addressing in an update and appears not to have done so here.
