I wonder how many people are going to line up for these phones? Well, I’am not, with MS taking out some of the most well known key features, like copy & paste, memory cards, multi tasking, which I use a lot and I thought I could take all this for granted in the new WP 7 package. Well MS can say what ever, it will include copy/paste next year or when ever, I am not interested. As this is the first time MS has made a major turn around in its Windows Mobile OS then I expect to see all the bells and whistles come out with it. I mean you wouldn’t buy a car these days without air con, power steering or without an FM radio installed, its all standard.

I currently have a T mobile Vibrant which is rooted and pretty good with BEST super AMOLED display (the only reason I switched from WM6.1) but still lags a bit and the market place is full of junk and useless apps unless spending time to filter out.

I don't have a WM7 phone but a Zune HD when it first came out a year ago and it UI is very slick and fast. It is a tweaked version of the on going WM7 development back then. The best thing about WM OS is the built in MS integration out of the box with calendar, office, mail and IE (with flash support it IS a killer). Plus xbox live which I don't own anyway because PS3 is better lol. Apps for WM platform are a few but the best and most practical, expensive but worth to keep for years.

I've yet to see anything that really impresses me about WP7. I intend to try one out at a store when it becomes available before passing judgement. So far, all of the articles do not give me a really good impression of WP7 so far.

Even if the Samsung AMOLED is really, really nice, the S-LCD used by HTC is really good, too. Yeah, the blacks are not as dark with AMOLED, but the colors are much more natural that the Samsung stuff. Plus, you should just take the products into your hand and feel them.

Here in Austria, one can read that the launch of WP7 devices was a massive success, reported by all network operators.

me still thinking that WP 7 is the worst among the others but I may change my mind if the list of disadvantages decrease.

Windows is exceeded this is clear. It has a problem with resources allocations. For example my Galaxy Spica with a 800 Mhz processor has 11 h 30 min autonomy talk time.Anyway a Omnia 7 has 4,40 hours autonomy talk time with a 1 GHz processor.WTF??? You like WP7? ok, buy one but don't forget to keep the charger close.
                              Good Luck !

Herd mentality. Nothing to see here, folks. WP7 is all hype and nth more. Stop saying its good when you clearly know its not.

Both functionally (countless limitations from software to even hardware specs!) and visually (Colored tiles? What are we, 3yr olds?) unable to keep up with today's smartphone era.

Kudos to HTC and Samsung for impressive phones with equally impressive capabilities but sadly, WP7 as with all its predecessors, is never going to succeed!

"Want to make the current song a ringtone? Tap the ringtone button, and it happens automatically"

if it's that easy i dont understand why everywhere saying it doesnt support custom ringtones.
