Hi I tried to boot my xperia sp to 7.1 but now the interface is not working, I am unable to use settings, dial pad, nothing except file manager please help to restore my device and I also tried to fastboot but it didnt work

Using Sony's keyboard is like Kim Kardashian - pretty to some, but fundamentally fucked up...

it's not possible to update any SD800 / SD801 phone to Nugat , unless Sony , Lg , Samsung , etc break some rules made by Qualcomm and Google . but they would risk getting sued from them .
just forget official Nugat for Z3 , S5 , Nexus 5 , etc ...

I still have the phone on 4.1 and it is good enough for everything browsing watching videos playing games.The most annoying thing is only that the keyboard get killed sometime when browsing meaning it doesn't come up you have to exit chrome and start again to come up otherwise it works just fine.DON'T JUST BUY THINGS YOU DON'T NEED AND WAIST MONEY.PEOPLE THAT BUY NEW PHONES EVERY YEAR ARE STUPID

Forget nougat, sony didnt even update it to lolipop, not even kitkat.
It is still running on jellybean 4.3.
Such a capable hardware that it looked like then, I hoped all days that sony sp will be given kitkat update ateast.
Learned a lesson then, never buy sony for updates.
Within six months it looked old, because of only update from 4.2 to 4.3 ...i dont remember correctly.. Maybr it was from4.1 to 4.3

Not supporting OpenGL ES 3.1 lack of support is Qualcomm's fault for not releasing drivers. This is again, planned obsolesce, this time from Qualcomm.
Both are still valid for any previous version, 4.4, 5.0 and 6.0, as these state being mandatory only support for OpenGL ES 2.0 and 1.0.
