Weekly poll: would you buy a compact Android flagship?
- 3
- 3.2" is too small

Some Nokias from around 2011 had 3.2" screens. The screen was far too small. Browsing the internet with such a small screen was not a nice experience.
A 4.5" screen has about twice the screen area of a 3.2" screen, and makes browsing the internet a far more pleasant experience.

AnonD-309849, 29 Aug 2016"iPhone SE - which has flagship specs, at least in Apple-la... moreYou seem to not know the difference between efficiency and "raw" specs.
I'll give you an hint, you can improve the efficiency after release, but there's nothing you can do about the specs. Queue the numerous rants of "the iOS upgrade made my phone slow" and how old quad-cores such as the Nexus 4 still run the latest OS beautifully (and with all features).

Just got rid of my... moreget a flagship for your wife instead of a midranger. if you cant pay for a flagship get money for earlier years flagships. if your wife had an xperia z3 or z2 and above from z and x family your opinion isn't like this at this time man.

The Galaxy Alpha was basically more powerful (because of resolution downgrade) than their then-flagship S5. I for one loved it. Battery life was poor though because Sammy was in anorexia mode. Since they made the S7 thicker to accommodate a bigger battery than the one in the S6, I'm hoping they're working on a succesor to the Alpha that has better battery backup. And a microSD would be nice. 4.8 inch 1080p Amoled. Add an Exynos 7420 or 8890 and you have a beast.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2016Everything bellow than 5.7 is totally stupid this is smart... morethen 95% of the population must be stupid according to you because they are all less than 5.7" screens. Think about what you are saying for once. Most phones are 5" and 5.5". Yes bigger screens are better but at the end of the day this is a MOBILE device. We aint bringing IPADs to the street.

I won't buy any phone that is >65mm wide.
I'm still using a Z1C with only 4.3" screen and it's just fine. Ideal, even. I had a Z3C for a while and the extra 0.3" was useful, though not as comfortable as the 4.3". If they made a 4.3 in a tiny body & a 4.6 in a slightly bigger one I would probab;y buy the smaller. But 4.6 is also nice. I have a tablet for bigger things but while I"m out I'm not concerned with video or VR or things like that so no need for anything bigger.
I'd definitely prefer an SD820/821/etc. But if the best-looking/smallest/most-comfortable compact only came in a 652 I'd be ok with that too - as long as the price and/or thickness and/or battery stamina appropriately reflected the reduced CPU demands.
I would also buy a Samsung if they made one that looked good with the same size/specs, if it was the only one available. But I'm glad it's Sony doing it & not others.

AnonD-431898, 29 Aug 2016I would ONLY buy a compact flagship phone, even if it means... moreWell, I wouldn't still buy a Sony-phone. Just got rid of my wife's M4 Aqua and due to very bad experience with Sony, NEVER AGAIN in any form of a phone. Sony makes good TV's, that's about it. Never ever going to trust them my money again to buy a phone made by them. :/ But then again, I don't really like small phones or Sony's design, so it doesn't even matter personally.

"iPhone SE - which has flagship specs, at least in Apple-land." LOL typical GSMAndroid fanboy dissing Apple. If I recall correctly, Apple's sub par specced iPhone 6s beat the shit out of Note 7. Numbers aren't everything and iPhone SE has the flagphipest specs PERIOD.

I love all sizes. What is perfect for me depends on what type of productivity or activity I do with them. It is rather perforce done circumstantially because of necessity for me. And I noticed I sound sensual saying that

For me, I love the sizes from 4.5-5.5 inches. Currently I have 5'' mobile and it's perfect for me.

I have the Note 4, and I don't like the size. Next phone for me will be the S8, if it comes in a non "phablet" version.
