Oppsss... dont say that... Remember, Java Apps are supported on Bada OS. So, dont loose hope. You got variety of choices there are Java Apps and games out there just for free... Good phone with great user interface. sound quality brilliant and can b favourite for music lovers. But the bada os lacks the no. of usefull apps as compared to other competitors.

i should not have bought this phone at all because it has no skype or gps locator working, properly. Its not worth to spend so much for so little in return

I have the Wave with (code) XXJID/OXAJID-XEU which in English
September 2010 OPEN September 2010 UK Bada 1.2 firmware
In other words as current as it gets for Wave owners.
Java apps work 100% with the Wave, apps like Opera Mini 5.1 and Google Maps version 3.0.2 complete with My Location and Street View work fine no issues as do many other java based apps.
So get your facts right before posting.
As for these games that are free to download for the new range of Wave handsets, pfft, if you really want them for the S5800 then the best way to install them is via Kies, all you have to do is change the product code ... oops beter stop their as technically it is a form of hacking (normal mobiles), rooting (Android), jailbreaking (Crapple) and phreaking (Symbian) ...
As for free life time GPS via Samsung LBS (i.e.: Route 66, it would be very nice for Samsung to do that but they wont as they do not own Route 66 unlike Nokia which own navteq which is why Nokia can give away Ovi Maps for free.

guys please don't get me started ok! All of us know that samsung support sucks, so it's our mistake for choosing samsungs products.
We can't blame anyone else, now most of the cool apps are from other waves, and the original gets nothing. Also, samsung galaxy s 2.2 froyo is delayed and only god knows for how so much.
Nothing is perfect, if you want the latest technology with worst updates, go with samsung.
