The new Samsung Wave models get free apps and games
The Samsung Apps store may not have as much content as Apple's or Google's but mobile gamers will sure be pleased with the number of free games in it. Owners of the new Wave models will be getting free games and apps - while supplies last.
The first Bada phone - the Samsung S8500 Wave - earned its owners similar perks. Need for Speed: Shift was free (for the first 1.2 million downloads) and Samsung also gave away 10 US dollar coupons for use in Samsung Apps.
The four Waves that are getting the free games and apps
It's only natural that the original Wave owners will sit this one through. The list of Waves that are getting the freebies this time includes only the S5250 Wave525, S5330 Wave533, S5750 Wave575 and the S7230 Wave 723. There's no word on the Wave II.
If you have one of these, here's what you can get for free:
- FIFA 10
- Tetris Refresh
- Spore Creatures
- Assassin's Creed II
- DioDict French/English dictionary
- Princess Magic Therapy e-book
- SSkin theme series
Assassin's Creed II will be free for the first 300 thousand downloads and FIFA 10, Tetris Refresh and Spore Creatures - for the first 250 thousand downloads. The free apps (as opposed to the games) will be free for a limited time only - based on a period of time instead of number of downloads.
