Alien , 01 Sep 2016Usually I'm not against modular phones and the accessories ... moreWell I am not a pro, but compared to DSLR, this one is much smaller and have a great mobility. That compact design means a lot for me. Not to mention I do not have the need for bringing a huge DSLR camera all along. I only need to bring the module which do not take huge space, and also a phone that I always bring.

@alien, can your Canon DSLR make phone calls ? maybe skype ? hmmm how about Viber or Whatsapp ? no ? then probably it can store notes and calendar events ?

Usually I'm not against modular phones and the accessories that are made for them, BUT if you add the money for the phone plus the money for the module, you can get a very good Canon DSLR which is actually made for professional photography. My point is, as a photographer, I would never buy that phone for that module. Sure, the advantage is having the big display, but nowadays even the cameras have touchscreens. This seems just a useless gimmick in my opinion. It's cool you have the option though, but believe me, no real photographer that respects himself would buy this..

that F number gave me cancer. Basically means that without the flash it will be useless indoors

canon half baked mirrorless aps-c camera would be the Eos-M, but did they cripple it so it makes their APS-C DSLR entry level more competitive ?

Combining the cost of both the mobile & camera add-on you can buy Sony a6300 4k camera which is much better and quality can't be compared

The xenon flash would be valuable for freezing fast moving subjects in a shot. But I wonder if the digital shutter can be fast enough?
