Compacts have generally always had the same spec - Ram as the flagship. This is not a compact its a mini the likes of which Samsung would produce

S7 is too lag with its terrible TouchWiz interface even with updates.
Even Note 7 loses to one year old iPhone 6s.

Thats shame. Qualcomm MUST JUST REMOVE ANYTHING UNDER 8XX SERIES. Seariously. I would rather have last years flagship CPU than a new midranger.... And last years flagship cpu will perform a lot better for everything, especially in gaming. People, just stop wasting youe money on these mid ranger Soc's just get any 8XX which you can afford.

Another flop at hand. Compact series without the flagship specs is a joke. Let's see if it performs better than super laggy Note 7.

putting sd 650 is not a bad move guys come on.sd 820 is power hungry and sd 650 is balanced one.its a small phone with small battery so i think sd 650 is great choice.the screen is 720p so that should provide performance alot better than anything else dont you think so? you guys must have already heard how great sd 650 is on xiaomi redmi note 3 so dont complain and be happy that they made the right choice.i hope they make the right choice on price also.

So annoying. Was waiting on this phone but just not an upgrade from z5 compact. Just so irritating that Sony has missed the processor upgrade we wanted and waterproofing. Why no SD 820? This is not a compact this is a Mini. Was hoping for a move to Sony but have to agree with the anti-Sony crowd that they are a lost company that should just just put their phone division out of its misery. They are lame and do not have a good quality of life so just do the right thing and end it.

Love the design but I gotta admit those bezels are huge! Specialy the bottom one. Who even listens to music without headphones these days? I'd ditch the stereo bs speakers and get a decent design without those damn bezels if I were Sony.
Also, I'd rather have a 1-1.5cm thick phone with a HUGE battery instead of a slim phone that won't last a day and would be also very prone to bending.
The USB-C port is more than welcomed, but I was expecting SD823 and at least 4GB RAM. Kinda disappointed..

No sd820, kinda dissapointed by that. not true Sony Compact, but 3gb is welcome.
Cant wait to see that camera performing.

Compact series always was top hardware not is only Snapdragon 650 ? Price should be around 250€.

BTW by compact missing out on waterproof is a terrible mistake
