Sony unveils Xperia XZ flagship and Xperia X Compact

It's ok. It is good Sony made the XZ battery bigger again and brought it to Z3 level. The X Compact is also good when it's fair priced, but no successor to the Z5 Compact (no waterproofing, mid range chipset which will only perform about the same). And it seems like Sony is going all-in with the camera now. Specs say it is better than all other cameras on the market. If Sony finally manages to make a good camera software, this could be the new camera champ (apart from this double cam feature). And past proved that sonys digital image stabilisation is as good as optical image stabilisation and in some scenarios even better. And one more thing, the XZ colors are ugly, the X Compact colors are way better. So in conclusion, if Sony gives these phones a good price tag and long and fast update support, this could be the HTC 10 of Sony (so I mean the comeback)

hy frds I think sony re'lounch camera cyber shot series because Sonyericsson cyber shot series smart phone camera and sound was vey good and x series battery minimum 3500mah nd performs 50%50% bcs Sony handset in heating problums.

The compact lineup used to share the chipset of the best phone Sony had to offer. The new X Compact now uses a mid tier chipset instead of the Snapdragon 820. Why they took away the waterproofing is beyond me.
The compact lineup is no longer the beast it once was.

Can anyone tell me.. did xperia z5 premium the capture image 0.03 second.. and then xperia xz with 0.06 scond? Is that true.. that's mean z5 premium would be better than xperia xz?

as I know, X compact doesn't have water-proof.

Another disappointing flagship from Sony. I think their mobile division is sinking. Where is 4 GB of RAM all the other flagships have (and some even 6 GB)? Where is optical image stabilization of the camera? When will they learn?
I really, really want Sony to take my money but they just don't deliver. Maybe if the XZ was priced at 400$ that would be acceptable but not when you want more money for less than the others are offering.

Agreed on sd650, shouldvr been XZ Compact with 820.
But....SD 650 with 3gb ram, 2700mah batt and 4.6 inch 72p screen...its performance is not in question.
Camera top notch, dual speakers, all those features...
I like it a LOT, despite no 820...
Waiting for price...
500 is ok with me., its a Sony afterall

And here I was, hoping Sony would deliver with a new compact flagship. C'mon Sony, at least try to compete and give us an 820 + 4gb ram, and maybe even OIS if you're feeling up to it. Perhaps the new not-nexus sailfish will finally pull it off?

I love the new camera features, especially the new autofocus system and the addition of manual shutter speed control, just what I wanted especially for a person who is into photography. Eyeing on the XZ and might as well get it over the Z5 Premium as the replacement for my Z2. Although I expected a new iteration of the processor, 4GB of RAM and a bigger battery, I'm happy with what the phone has to offer.
