Samsung is withdrawing the Galaxy Note7 from some markets due to faulty batteries

01 September 2016
A recall still has not been officially announced - meaning that for now you won't have to return your purchased Note 7, but the unsold units are being withdrawn.

AnonD-456472, 01 Sep 2016which countries got the ITM battery? can you please tell us????Most likely mixed in with the other phones that have the other battery brands. So that's why they need to recall every single unit.

Just small suggestion for you, avoid keeping smartphones near to you when you are sleeping, you can google it to know why I am suggesting !! Be safe

You will only get 3rd degree burns, but you will not die ( I hope so ). Moreover, Samsung will replace you phone. So, there's nothing to worry about.

          Xaxaxa! That's Sammy quality folks.
If you want true quality go buy a Sony. Sammy only cares about selling many phones and stealing crapple clients, but their phones break if you drop them from half a meter, updates suck, touchwiz is butt ugly and now their batteries are exploding. I can handle a broken display, but think about the 3Rd degree burns if it explodes in your pocket, not to mention your whole house can catch on fire and actual people could die.
I've dropped my XZ so many times and not a scratch on it. If you buy a galaxy you can't use it without a case cos it's too fragile.
Also, is the back of the S7 gorilla glass or just plain simple glass?
Hack, I think that even HTC are superior when it comes to quality build.

It's simple...just open the back cover and replace the batt...oh wait, you saying it's sealed and not replaceable by user? Never mind then...hehehe
So can we expect a replaceable battery in next year's note 8(7) now?
Karma is a bitch Samsung! Now eat it!

That's the reason strong Quality Assurance is required, I think Note 7 device came in hurry !!
                    1. Gorilla glass 5 easy to break and scratch
                    2. Performance issues, lags in multitasking,
                    3. S-Pen getting stuck
                    4. Explosive battery

I wonder how can $800 phone has so many issues? investing $10 per phone for QA would have made it worth Samsung.
I personally feel Explosive battery is big risk, since VR headsets also charging port, I can't imagine if it would blast while VR headsets on ...

                    Too risky product.

The battery is not removable and not user replaceable.
This is exactly the thing that we, long time note users, have been protesting against for over 2 years now.

                            Bring the removable battery back!!
