This is how fast the CPU can perform the operations requiered to achieve that score...And apple's single core performance has always pissed on competition... FACT...hence them be able to perform as good if not better than 4 cores or 8 cores ARM with their dual core one.

The latest mediatek SOC the Helio X25 with its 10 core processor could not reach a score of 2000 on the Geekbench single core test, The Apple 10 chip is really impressive to pass the 3000 mark in a single core test.

Lol jk, choose what suited you the most. If you've watched speedtest battle between two phones, I'm pretty sure that is not how you use your phone for most of the times. For daily use and gaming, exynos 8890 or SD 820 will do just fine at least for the next few years. But, yeah. A10 is gonna be a beast.

If you had the time for fidling with the settings(exposure etc),some of the afforementioned phones are better.Still if you frame for what you like,and the final result without any hassle iphone still wins.

Other manufacturers can't learn apple what to do with chipset. Apple knows best what to offer
their costumers and in the end numbers are nothing. Looking to the iphone 7 with 2gb of ram handling better than any other smartphone currently running with 4 and even 6gb of ram ;)

The iphone will always be better in benchmarks because ios is very light since there are no features and customizations to slow it down.
Android due to excessive features and customizations is heavy and requires more processing power and ram.
So untill Apple decides to allow more customizations and feature on iphones the iphone will always perform well in benchmarks.
