Rajitt, 29 Oct 2010i went 2 the above mentioned link n downloaded all the file... moreyou dont just image the sd card...you also have to install the meego kernal on the handset.
without it the handset wont know that it needs to boot off the memory card when it is inserted.
read the instructions fully....if you dont feel confident in doing this then dont. installing kernals on handsets isnt for everyone...you run a high risk of killing the handset if done wrong.

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2010i don't know why phone manufacturers don't get apple's conc... moreLooks like you are working for Apple. How will you like if shopping mall will sell only one or two types of clothes but in different sizes. How monotonous will your life be when you will not have choices to choose from. When you build a mobile phone, you have to listen to various customers and buid accordingly. In the end customer will buy phone instrument based on their need and price. During my visit in USA last year, I have noticied many American ppl didn't even want to consider the iPhone 3GS even with the subsidised price of $200. They went for alternatives from Samsung and others.

I was soooo eager to install MeeGo on my N900, but after seeing the complicated way of installing + it is still not 100% stable, i decided to wait for an official release no matter how long will take . I am Very Happy & satisfied with Maemo OS.

We hope to see MeeGo team work so fast on this Build (1.1) & come up with excellent results in-terms of stability of the OS before the end of the year.

              Regards

Yes, maemo was a step for something bigger, just like symbian3 is a step for something bigger, and thar step for something bigger happens every time Nokia releases a new device. Every release is a step closer to that something big :)

What? Update at your own risk? Lol. No support from Nokia. Way to go Nokia. As for its users. Why even bothered with maemo if you intend to use meego? Lol. Ridiculous.

Maemo is now obsolete cause Maemo merged with moblin. Moblin was Intel's operating system that ran on tablets and netbooks. Moblin ran on intel's atom and micro processors and now that nokia and intel have merged, they have meego. Its taking ideas of both worlds and combinging them... maemo was said to be just a test for a bigger step since day one. Anyone who bought an n900 should have known that. If you didn't, go watch the original n900 videos on gsmarena and you'll here them say this is a small step inton something bigger.
Also, i donno why you guys are worried about one company running 3 os's.. maemo is out, so thats 2 os's. And nokia announced 2 days ago that both meego and symbian are going to be backward compatible with one another. Both are going to be on QT (a superior platform to develop apps on) and both will be on HTML5 (best quality of web browsing known to man today)...
they may be slow right now, but im tellin you guys when they officially release a meego phone, android, apple, bada, and bb's OS's balls will hit the floor.

So I take it that to duel boot to Meego, all the relevent files are saved to the memory card, right ?
If you noticed in the video, switching on without the memory card results in booting to the default Maemo.

WP7 it's the biggest crap i already sow. One lot of lacking features that i didn't sow in Symbian 3 and in Maemo and probably i wouldn't see in Meego.
