new tech should be tested for periods of time, before unleashing them on people...it's so selfish of them thinking of that dollar than safety of paying public!!!

glxy, 07 Sep 2016If the Note7 were like the earlier Notes with removable bat... moreINDEED! I hope those morons on the industry actually LEARN from this! So that eventually sensible people can again start buying smartphones. I've been stuck with my Galaxy S5 for exactly this reason. It seems that LG with the V20 has made a simple and common solution which seems acceptable to me.

There are only 2 things samsung needs to do to recover from this.
1) Discount the note 7
2) Launch a 6.4 inch Note 7 + with a 5000 mAh battery / IP 68 / 6 GB Ram / 256 on board memory / Dual SIM / Removable SD card.
The + will be MILT 810 G features (Sami make it standard not only in Active series phones).

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2016They're doing this to avoid lawsuits. Not because they care... more"However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have stopped sales of the Galaxy Note7.
We acknowledge the inconvenience this may cause in the market but this is to ensure that Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers. We are working closely with our partners to ensure the replacement experience is as convenient and efficient as possible."

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 7- within hours of launch -on first charge - problems emerged on overhating leading to screens becoming nonresponsive -crashing - and fire ..but these serious reports were DISMISSED by samsung who TOLD LIES DECEPTIONS REF outsourcing batteries -- deceptions that all batteries (outside chinese releases of note 7 -batteries by TDK HONGKONG based manufacturing with NO PROBLEMS) made by SAMSUNG OWN SUBSIDIARY SDI !
samsung deceptions to blame 3rd party battery manufacturers !!!! but TOTAL BLAME lay on samsung own battery manufacturing !!!
of course- samsung fans including gsmarena are hiding away from bitter truth -SAMSUNG CORPPORATE DECEPTIONS ..why o why ?
anyway - we shall now buy 2 iphones 7 plus this week ..

I don't know why there's people complaining about the recall, it's for safety, even luxury car manufacturers like BMW, Jaguar and Mercedez-Benz do recalls!

I have started to feel that Samsung has "pulled a card on nineteen"... (I do not know the proper englis words for that). If the survive this "mistake" with sucess, they are the winer. They can affor anything in the next few years. IF... If not... Wel they will be the second (or with a little bad luck the 3rd behind apple).. Well this is not the worst case... If with a lucky card you can be the 1st or in the worst case the 3rd, you will probably, ask for one more card... ;) I hope you know what I mean :D

What a refreshing approach, better than telling customers they are charging it wrong, eh! Samsung has not got the best of reputations when it comes to faulty handset but as I say, this is a refreshing change.

MajesticRD, 06 Sep 2016Haters are gonna hate!Problem is, it is true to a certain degree and I currently own a Samsung phone and I promise I don't hate them. It is the loss of sales that would cost them due to the loss of trust and reputation..

They're doing this to avoid lawsuits. Not because they care about their customers. If they did, they would support their devices for more than two years like Apple does.
