Mind the fine print: iPhone 7 warranty doesn't cover liquid damage

08 September 2016
The iPhone 7 is water-resistant and that's a nice feature to have as it definitely gives you a peace of mind. However, reading the footnotes on the iPhone 7 specs page reveals that phone's warranty doesn't cover liquid damage.

Okay this is my last post, and after il forget iphone 7 exist.

Im not convinced this is Apples best Upgrade to iphone. They even have stopped using the word "revolutionary" which they raped that marketing word like they owned it few years back.

This is considering the missing 3.5 jack, im a jogger and i have big issues with earpods being uncomfortable to the ears etc.

water resistance isnt selling me at all. shiny black is the same as my 3g.

il have to keep my iphone 6 this time and il forget iphone 7 exist.

Good luck to all of you talking about phones all the time...... boring subject.

Peace out see u next year new iphone

i thought not having a 3.5 mm jack is the dumbest thing ever happened in a phone now i know i'm wrong
the dumbest thing is they sell it advertised with IP certificate and say it's waterproof and then say OH maybe we are not so sure about it. you wanna try?
    hahahahah.
my holy god.it's waterproof but it's not!!!!!!!
    Joke of the year 2016.

why would someone submerge their water-resistant phone for more than 30 minutes?

I've been a Sony fan because of the water resistance. From experience I can say as the phones get thinner they are more prone to flexing. This causes stress between the display/back panel if it has one and the main body. It can cause the seals (same with any stress on the ports) to fail without any visible damage.

Water resistance/waterproofness is always a temporary state of device. I can't believe people think that the tiny seals will survive as long as their phones. Even when you put brand new phone on a shelf and won't be using it it will lose its IPxx after some time.

They claim water resistant. Not water proof. You can't tell what the user did to damage it with water so I don't blame them for not covering it.

There is always some shady thing going on with Apple and they never have a decent customers care yet. They always behave as if customers can't do without them. This is one of the reason I don't buy their products anymore. Not to mention, they log behind every flagship phone and copy from all
