These are not the upgrades I was hoping for. I'm moving on to android because my iPhones battery just doesn't last long enough and now iPhone 7 will give the same amount of battery life. Bye bye Iphone because 1900mah is not enough for 2016.

They'll eventually get to 3000 mAh, they're saving that for their special anniversary edition.

[deleted post]Precisely right..? They self declared the 'fragility' of their product(s)...

Not everyone uses a case for their gadgets, as these gadgets ought to be able to fend itself off in real life usage situation...

And I am one of those people who won't use a case on my smartphones, as I buy and use something to feel the architecture, not to cover it with another layer and add on to heat...

Oh my.. I thought battery will be bigger than 3000 at least.. They just make phone thin and more thin aren't they ? If we can get more battery why not ? Well just wait battery test from GSMArena then..

iPhones are awesome. No second thought about that. Still there are few glitches compared to Android topdogs like QHD screens, screen to surface ratio and camera image quality etc.

3.5mm headphone jack is a big miss too.

OperationBlitz , 12 Sep 2016Whilst you are correct about Samsung batteries for the Note... morescratches? that is the most common issue in almost all devices even tablets, that's we have these so called phone case, even metal backs can have scratches, and Apple was kind enough to have said that the black one will easily get scratches, stop being a hater if you cannot find a decent stuff to hate on

Whilst you are correct about Samsung batteries for the Note 7, I do believe the iPhone 7 hasn't even come out yet so be careful before you make statements as after all never count your chickens until they have hatched.

IPhone 7 black already scratches easily!

Almand, 12 Sep 2016If you really knew what endurance rating is, u wudnt have s... more"AMOLED displays use a lot more batteries if they a on"
If no dark background, yes. Otherwise IPS uses A LOT more power than OLED, the fact that it has to be backlit virtually non-stop is what drains the battery.
If you chose a dark theme on an OLED device, you can get even more SoT.
Most sub 200$ chinkphones shit on any apple device on the market when it comes to battery life.
But go on, stay delusional and tell yourself you won't have to charge your facebook machine twice a day.

AnonD-481725, 12 Sep 2016Sorry dude, but the screen power consumption is measured by... moreIf not an OLED screen or a variant of that you need to consider the backlighting as well as the resolution and screen type for the power consumption assumptions.

with a 10" device vs 5" device you've got 4 times the screen surface area to light up. Even with location isolated lighting used in VA panels that'd make a huge difference.

based on my experience Iphone battery life is better than android regardless of mAh.

My ribs gives me pain after laughing to this.... ... moreSorry dude, but the screen power consumption is measured by the overall resolution and screen type, so although it is 5.5 inches or consider it is 10 inches but it still FHD =~2073600 pixels in the screen, well, the deference between 5 inches and 5.5 inches is that the pixels are more separated from each other's in the biger one means lower accuracy but in terms of battery consumption they are the same.

You're judging these phones by Android standards. The previous generation iPhones (6s&6+) had respectable battery life, especially the plus. These have increased battery capacity, kept the screen resolution the same albeit AMOLED now which is more energy efficient. On top of this a more energy efficient SoC. These will be fine. Not record breaking but on par with most Android flagships of 2016.

I needed a good Laugh thank you i'm not an apple fan i use only android for years (cause i don't have a lot of money). but remember one thing about ios how it works : i doesn't need a lot of power for cpu operations because it uses unix system in live calculating, while android use linux in virtual machine (cache, dalvik, art ... and what you want) and this need more power for ram, and cpu. so android will be always behind ios in tasking and power management. watch out !
