Finally! 6GB was getting long in the tooth. Besides it's an awkward amount, I prefer if it is power of 2 (8GB is a great wholesome number).
Phones need RAM more because they would -then- need no lpadding screens. A bit of how I phones already are with app freezing, but done the right way (actually the whole app is in memory).
As long as leaks controlled it would mean that you have all your most used apps+games loaded in ram. That way everything would be instant.
PCs for example need less of that unless you actually use a ram intensive app. Phones are better benefitted from more ram (having everything loaded in ram is not as useful on PCs).

8G model would be perfect, if it uses same 5.5-inch FHD screen from 6G model + If glass would be protected by Gorilla Glass :)
256GB ROM is overkill, reduce it 128GB.
