Nokia X2-01 surfaces, is another QWERTY-packing S40 phone

We just stumbled upon some photos and specs for a rumored Nokia X2-01. The device looks a lot like the Nokia C3, but it's obviously positioned even lower. Yes, we're as confused as the rest of you...

c3 in the philippines is doing well especially now that the price is going down after only few months of release but the china brand are still way cheaper and they have tv features and are doing very well cutiing into nokia's low end phone market so this phone if really intended to try slow the decline. there are after all still people who dont trust china brand phone even if its much cheaper.

    I think the new naming is better than the old one actually. I need to only get the letter and number to place the phone into right ballpark.

    Giving each model names would be ridiculous. Sure it would work for maybe a year, but after that nobody would remember what that "Hero" or "Galaxy K" was actually like.

    Really interesting to see the price on this. This is almost as low as you can go and it still isn't completely dumb.

      Nokia feature phone (non-smart) use the S40 OS...It has nothing to do with Symbian. They are for cheap basic feature phones.

      Nokia smartphones use the S60 OS...This is the Symbian smartphone OS with multitasking and all the goddies...

        nokia is not only losing market share but also running out of numbers. wtf with this model number, x2-01,x2,x2-02???

          it is a dual sim with xpressmusic and qwerty so no need to add 3g and wifi it was rumored 1month ago and announcing at someday at novemember

            WTF? S40? Isn't it the older series of Symbian? Hasn't it been replaced by s60??? Wtf, they are releasing an s40 phone which doesn't have things like multitasking and a very limited party of applications available? Or do I understand this wrong? Shouldn't it be running Symbian^3? What is this phone for?

              others are not confused with nokia naming convention GSMArena. WE feel its very convenient and easy to figure out!
