AnonD-538833, 17 Sep 2016No, Samsung is stupid. They rushed to release a product wit... moreThe news about about Note 7 has battery problems aren't just on tech sites. They are also on TV news and newspapers. So your argument about only tech savy people knows about Note 7 catching fire is invalid.

just saw on a website CNET that 112 note 7 explosions have occurred till now, 92 incidents in the US, plus at least 17 in Korea, 1 in Taiwan and 2 in Australia......
thats a big damage to samsung's quality image

What else can be expected from hand grenade?

AnonD-538833, 17 Sep 2016No, Samsung is stupid. They rushed to release a product wit... moreI agree with you by saying not everyone is tech savvy. The people like us who goes to a tech site knows about this problems. Samsung may had called them or email those unlucky buyers, but those buyers might not even open their email or didn't answer the phone because it isn't in their contacts.

But, I don't think the Note7 was rushed. It had released about the same time as the Note5.

AnonD-538833, 17 Sep 2016No, Samsung is stupid. They rushed to release a product wit... moreYou get a mail from your provider, a text message from Samsung and it is all over the internet.

You buy a Note 7 and you're not a geek?

What do you use your note 7 for if not for texting, mailing and browsing?

You do know it's a smartphone and not meant to be eaten right?!

Seriously man, this hit Samsung really really hard. This really teach every OEM a lesson, quality control for every component need to be taken seriously.

Harvey, 17 Sep 2016Who would be dumb enough to actually use the phone even tho... moreNo, Samsung is stupid. They rushed to release a product without proper testing so that they can earn some extra money. And not everyone is tech geek like us so I wouldn't be surprise to see if some people is still unheard of Samsung note 7 blowing up. It's samesung's responsibility. Every person who was harmed by this low class faulty product from Samsung should sue too. Shame on Samsung. They could have taken better steps like engaging American Safety commission earlier so they recall process could be would be smoother. But they provide confusing message to that their brand image wouldn't get much worse.

Well, too bad. It's karma. Now samsung is suffering from brand image more than any other company. Samsung's blind fanboys should be ashamed as well.

                Samesong Notebad !

He has to argue that despite ignoring the recall by Samsung telling them the risks and telling them to hand it in, he should be compensated because it wasn't 'official' by the cpsc at the time.

It may work, but it might not.

Not a fanboy but this a$$hole desrves it. Stop using the phone after recall. Whoever gets injured because of exploding NUKE 7 after this recall deserve it.

i'm not sure how it works in US, but here, for getting the insurance claim, one has to sue the person who has caused the problem..its a routine procedure...
now how are the flight personnel going to ban the note 7(as opposed to the s7 edge?)

The Samsung reaction on faulty batteries may go for a model to all producers.
