I know. Comments are "mostly" a wasteland of armchair geniuses, but still...

Show stopper, you say? Would that be the same kind of helpless my Android experiences without any physical buttons on the front? So what if I can get the screen on with the power button? I can't unlock in the winter without taking my gloves off. Shockingly, I'm STILL able to function. Where's the common sense? Is it impossible to run a tech site nowadays without hyperbole?

    Innovation :)

Roy, 17 Sep 2016But what is the point of going to home screen if you can't ... moreWell, that's another problem. Though, I don't quite understand what you wrote by 'no widget'?

So does the screen work with gloves on? If not than i dont see what is the big deal . If yes than it is a design flaw by apple just like surface pro 3 had no place to store pen. Btw ipad pro have that flaw too.

AnonD-442781, 17 Sep 2016Yep, the iris scanner means you can unlock with gloves on. ... moreOh the glove is my skin and I can't take it off....LOL
Get real, taking off the glove off and putting it back on takes less than a second because the home button of the iPhone 7 works real fast and faster than it takes the iris scanner to scan your iris,

[deleted post]Ok then, when Note7 or any Samsung phone have flaws, you'll be like.
"Yeah, Samsung sucks. Nobody gonna buy Samsung phones"

But when iPhone have flaws, you'll be like.
"Don't do that GSMArena. Why are you doing this. It's an iPhone. You can bash any android phones you like but please dont tell everyone the iPhone sucks"

                    Typical.....

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2016When winter comes those Note 7 will come in handy, just say... moreYep, the iris scanner means you can unlock with gloves on. Different to the iPhone which doesn't even turn on with gloves on.

TanTra, 17 Sep 2016This is pressure sensitivity man. You press harder the phon... moreSadly, its not a matter of effort. You can press as hard as you wish, but the thing is, the "button" is not pressure sensitive. You have to actually trigger the TouchID fingerprint reader to "press the home button". That appears to be dependent of skin contact. Touchscreen-optimized gloves might just work (minus the actual fingerprint reading, of course) and you could, of course, wake the phone up with the power button. However, the real issue comes afterwords. Let's say it is unlocked, you have booster the touchscreen sensitivity and thus manage to open an app. How do you close out of it without the "home button"? You simply have to remove your gloves to use the phone normally or use AssistiveTouch, but how much of a workaround is that…

LG superfan, 17 Sep 2016The problem is when wearing gloves you cant use touchID and... moreI guess you're right.
