Alleged Xiaomi Mi Note 2 screenshot shows 8GB RAM, 256GB storage

20 September, 2016
It also confirms the Snapdragon 821 chipset and shows MIUI on Android 7.0 Nougat. Assuming it's real, of course.

Can some plz explain how model names works in Xiaomi world.
                  Article says Note 2,
But I do recollect reading about note 3, note 4
Then they have Prime 3, Prime 3S.
What's the difference between all these models?

No phone needs much ram.My oneplus3 with all apps openned, games and everything max was 4.2 gb of Ram used from the 6gb.My 8 gb Ram pc uses like 2-3 gb of Ram.Either Xiaomis phone have terrible ram management so they have this much of ram or there are many bloatware apps running and eating up the ram.
I'd rather pick a 3-4 gb ram phone with great ram management over anything above 5 with crap ram management.Less ram doesn't mean you will do crap at multi tasking and running big games :)

Sweet. 6 or 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage is awesome. If only the screen is also 6" and with high resolution.
This means that 95 percent of young working people in Shenzhen will be using this as they do not have a large TV at home or at the dorm. They watch TV on their smartphone. Add perhaps a chip to have XiaoMi Pay.
                        Dual Edge display a +.
                        USB-C and wireless charging.

If so, it is the rise of Chinese smartphone. Apple and Samsung will be of less importance.

No one makes 4.5-inch android phones anymore, and if they do, they aren't flagships. It could be due to size, sure you can fit all the electronics in there, but without the battery power its going to die very fast. Thicker battery you say? Well people will just complain its disproportionate.

8 gb ram needed but not now, 4 gb already too many, the most important processor processing must be extremely reliable in memory management :D
