Looks good so far and the Mi Note 2 won't be as ugly as the new Pixel-Crap Google is offering. Maybe it might be a little bit bigger, just above 6", but 5,7" is okay for me. No one needs small-ass tiny phones below 5,5". So hopefully the Mi Note 2 will arrive soon and cost less than 700$ with 256 GB.

Also the chipset in i 7 is intel this time tuned to give blasting performance. But the real backup power comes from GPU which is very mature in apples than android. main processor: Apple-dual core, android octa core. GPU: Apple - hexacore, android - 2/3/ core. And needless to say that and android device is a general platform used by many companies but iOS is fully controlled by Apple.

But dude, this is Xiaomi, even the mighty Redmi Note 3 Pro doesn't get Marshmallow. Ofcourse there are plenty stable custom ROM. But in this case 8gb ram is just a gimmick, worse part it's awaste of resource, you can imagine how 8gigs ram eats battery power like crazy.
FOR NOW, 4 gigs is just perfect, 6 gigs with a good memory management even better.
That's just my opinion, feel free to disagree

Also, check out on Youtube in side by side speed comparisons a fully optimised One Plus 3 against the Edge 7. The One Plus 3 is actually slightly faster opening apps and so on. So whilst 8 GB might be bragging rights to a certain degree to say anything above 3 or 4 GB is not totally true either. Now whether it has a significant effect on battery life I cannot say for sure as the One Plus 3 and Edge 7 are quite different in other ways such as the display and CPU and so on.
