9 November, 2010
Opera Mini for Android has been a stopgap measure - Opera Mobile 10.1, the flagship browser from the Norwegian company, is finally available (though in beta) and it will probably take over the job...

:D, 09 Nov 2010Still no Flash. At least Bolt has it, unfortunately the UI ... moreyes BOLT is good, supports flash but the problem is that bolt isn't as quick as opera mini and fonts sometime in bolt are horrible, lets hope opera mini n opera mobile come with flash support in the future, that would be great, till that time i would stick to my opera mini as its quicker than opera mobile n sometimes using bolt also.

Tried it and it's a pretty horrible experience. But it is beta. Will un-install now and wait for a finished release. Using stock browser. Much smoother and better to work with.

I have room to store more but why should I? I barely have enough time to play anywhere even near half the apps so why cram more on,are you suggesting we cram couple hundred apps on your phone and try to manager to play a bit of each one at random when we manager to get time?

Ive never had a problem with the desires 3g connection and been using my friends Galaxy ive noticed its slower to open and close apps and has lags from time to time, maybe the galaxy not having froyo yet is causing this. Don't get me wrong the galaxy is a hell of a phone but has its slight software issues next to the desires, thus why samsung has repeatily delayed getting froyo to the galaxy. Price wise there's only a 40 euro price difference between the two in my local store so 'not able to afford' is a nonsense claim. Having been torn between the two before buying the desire I would say if the desire had the galaxys super amoled screen it'd be the better by a noticeable bit

I'm running an age-old Motorola Cliq and so far all my needed apps are installed in the internal memory. It depends on the user, really. If you want a boatload of apps to your phone, then get something that's able to do it without problems. Case solved.

BTW I'm leaning towards either a G2, Milestone 2 or Evo 4G than the Desire series. So yeah.

Opera is a really nice browser but the lack of good JavaScript support makes it useless.

App2sd does NOT install all of the apps or games on the sd-card but often leaves a rather big part on the built in memory. 131 mb is NOT enough, and why buy a this expensive phone if you only want it as a phone? Desire, and Desire HD, is not able to keep a stable 3g-connection, the 3g-reciever often freezes for a minute or two inspite of perfect network-connection with all "bars" showing, and that makea browsing on Internet or listening to Spotify a real pain. If you can afford to buy Galaxy S or even IPhone4 then you should not waste money on HTC Desire, or HTC Desire HD.
