This is just a movie of a concept, nothing more. Someone will build this eventually but I doubt will be HTC. HTC just tries to look like they're in the game.

These touch-sensors would be featured in the iPhone 8, for sure!

HTC has industry-insiders that provide it with information concerning future iPhones.
This has already happened with the current implementation of the dual speakers in the HTC 10 which came before the iPhone 7, and in the past HTC used the same antenna-bands just before Iphone 6, the metal body, the dual back cameras, the dual LED flash, etc...

Sometimes Apple is only experimenting a technology but it disqualifies it for an upcoming product so it doesn't become commercial in the upcoming iPhone, but other manufacturers hurry to implement it just "to be first" .
Apple wanted to get rid of the 3.5mm jack a few years ago (read the previous models' rumors), but only now has finally done it.
Samsung was in a hurry to launch a smart-watch only after it heard that Apple is planning one - so Samsung became first to the market.
The same is for using a curved screen - Samsung hurried to do it only after a curved iPhone prototype design was submitted for patent.

No - I'm not an Apple fanboy. I won't but an iPhone, because of its drawbacks. But i acknowledge the fact that Apple is the most innovative in design, and all the industry is following Apple and try to out-do it - sometimes the competition do provide more features. But all of the ground-breaking features (and not just adding more small features) starts at Apple!

I don't know, but I'm kind of disappointed by HTC. I was a huge fan for almost 5 years but Samsung is a better phone these days and IMHO HTC doesn't have what it takes to take a shot on Samsung.

How do you accidentally leak a video. This was done on purpose.
Looks just like every other phone. I need clearer photos to really tell though.
I was disappointed with HTC how they just forgot about the One M8's camera features. Mine overexposes on auto; so I never use it on auto. But then I can't apply some effects because I didn't use auto...WAKE UP HTC!
I'll be going a different route for my next phone unless the 10 proves viable.

                                Hmmmm, this looks nice.

Massive fan of HTC and i think i may be getting this when it arrives, so long as it's got the latest and greatest, i'm in :)

The Ocean UI looks nice, but will it conflict with other third-party apps with same position side swipe?
By the way the background music of the video is not attractive me, I will mute the music.

ashyjay92, 21 Sep 2016try using an edgeless display, you'll want those bezels back.My current phone is an S7 edge, which while it may not be fully edgeless is something I rather enjoy, but I guess to each their own, but I'm sure sooner or later all manufacturers will start getting rid of the bezels, they're already becoming smaller and smaller
