I usually take those kind of news as a bragging, rather than achievement. Why? Because they don't release sold numbers, so for all we know, it could be 10 units.

I used to defend Sony, but this is getting ridiculous... Compare XZ to Z2, there is almost no difference. XZ is two and a half years newer, but specs-wise, it looks half a year newer.
Than take Samsung S5 and Note7, where Note7 is miles ahead.
Sony was better before, but each of their flagships just puts one or two features more then the previous one. While Samsung listens to what customers want and makes bigger improvements with each new generation

Nice, they finally sold 10 phones in 45 minutes. Only way is up, maybe 11 phones next year? Sarcasm aside, good for the company struggling with sales. Maybe they survive a month longer now. :-)

long time ago, when they were still sony_ericsson, i often saw many sony ads anywhere in my country. in tv, printed on big billboards in the middle of streets, etc.
Now, I don't see those sony ads anymore. I only see samsung ads everywhere.
Sony is so poor, can't afford to promote their products properly.

The Z3 has an amazing camera, it's just that it isn't really idiot-proof (i.e. it takes some getting used to). I've seen pictures from the Z3 that blows away Samsung and iPhone cameras. Sony didn't make the manual mode easy to operate lol.

Its about 1/30th of global consumer profit share

Have bought a new Xperia Z3 whilst waiting for safe Note 7. V impressed with Z3 for a two year old model. Lovely design, fast, superb call quality etc. Only flaw is the camera which is awful in every way. If I didn't require a stylus would consider XZ.
