Hoaxers took advantage of the Note7 recall, 26 possibly false fire reports

There are 26 reports of Note7 fires that Samsung was not able to acknowledge. In 12 cases, there was no fault found by the recalled Samsung handset. The other 14 cases included seven where the affected customer became unreachable shortly after, while the last seven victims either cancelled their report or claimed to dispose of the device.

It's better too be safe then sorry the possibility of the smartphone blowing up is too much of a risk

I just admire what Samsung did with Note 7, not a diehard fan of Anything....btw S7 is my primary phone...and I compare side by side with Note 7, after using both of them Note 7 got my respect as a Phablet...but I still use s7 as my daily device because of size.

            Zenodroid, 27 Sep 2016but note 7 is a crap phone against s7. s8 will prob be the ... moreI got you ...you own the Note5 and no matter whatever reason I will tell you , you will not stop admiring your Note5, BTW Note5 is not a bad phone at all, but if you want to carry more than 64GB offline data(music,movies,pictures) in your phone then Note5 is good, otherwise you'll start searching for microSD expandable capabilities, which Note7 has. so point is simple ...Note5 is the best phone for you because you own it, and Note7 for rest of the world because it is the best capable Android Smartphone at the moment. I rest my case ..enjoy :)

              AnonD-6505, 27 Sep 2016What I really mean is "Note7 is the best phone till date wi... morebut note 7 is a crap phone against s7. s8 will prob be the same, with those rumors. and the difference on s7 edge and note 7, is the s-pen. so if you are a new phone user, in the heavy class, you would know that note 7 isnt the best phone, but it has the best s-pen. and if the s-pen was made to work on note 5, that phone would still have longer battery time than note 7. and by that, note 7 isnt the best phone, but the s-pen is the reason you like it best. lets take the s-pen away and you will see that the note 5 lasts longer than the note 7. and the s7 edge even longer than both. the normal s6 was a mistake by sammy and so is the note 7. both phones with horrible battery life.

And don't underestimate the power of S-PEN, because I didn't found any devices which can function like S-PEN , already tried Surface Pro 4 with pen and iPad with so called iPencil...they are good but not the best. And no need to afraid if anyone called you fanboy just because you told the truth...and always dare to accept the truth...Samsung's TouchWiz is the most laggiest UI in android world at the same time Most Functioning as well. So my point is, till today Samsung Note7 is the best flagship available to purchase(at least in some areas..because of battery issue, if something will be announced after 1/2 month with impressive functions then no need to praise Note7 on that time. I hope you understand what I mean ..have a nice time :)

                                  "not to mention the number of sales the company likely lost to Apple", i highly disagree with this claim as i am sure that most note buyers don't want an iphone and vice versa. Only fanboys make it seem like "oh, i am switching to the other side". If the lg v20 was available for sale, maybe a big maybe some note 7 users might consider for v20 but lg has never been at the right place at the right time. Always late to the party.
