Hoaxers took advantage of the Note7 recall, 26 possibly false fire reports

22 September, 2016
There are 26 reports of Note7 fires that Samsung was not able to acknowledge. In 12 cases, there was no fault found by the recalled Samsung handset. The other 14 cases included seven where the affected customer became unreachable shortly after, while the last seven victims either cancelled their report or claimed to dispose of the device.

This is why we need removable battery. Samsung could have just sent new batteries instead of full replacement

Ridiculous. Samsung handled things extremely well, and people try and worsen the situation for them.. I'm a proud owner of a iPhone 7 Plus, but I can acknowledge that the Note is a masterpiece. Samsung deserves better

I had suspected that some of these cases were false from early out as some people driven by greed and kaos and will do just about anything for money and to satisfy their own sick pleasure at the expense of the rest of the world. I would not be surprised if it turns out that the big "A" is the monkey in the wrench some how. Competition is what makes things cheaper for all of us so why some try to bring down a competitor for the other to take full advantage of the moss? Soooo greedy and sick!!!

As further investigation was unable to confirm the Note7 was the actual cause of the fire." so it's not even included in the 26 cases, i must say the story sounded fishy (a lot) but u can't claim it was paid from apple or anyone (at least not yet)
