How can it be a 12month review if the Iphone 4 came out in June/July 2010?

I think it is also important to notice that the blue bar will be replaced by the manufacturer and with the red bar your out of luck.
Of course that is most likely what this warranty provider is trying to tell us ;)

Am sure this study is not true, because how can you ignore largest smartphone manufacturer...? Nokia known for solid hardware that last longer, and I think smart feature phones like Ipuny don't crash most of the time like s40 phones.

This isn't really news, it just confirms what most people have known for a long time. Its just news for the haters in denial, butthurt by their own reality distortion bubble being burst by truth lol.

Anonymous, 10 Nov 2010I work in the industry too, Of the 800-1000 units we have s... moreThat sounds pretty unrealistic. With any phone. If u selly that many units, u will defimitely have way more faults than u are claiming. Also what country are u in, cause in aus, return or change of mind arent even options, these are contracts not cash transaction.

Sails, 10 Nov 2010It would be much more interesting to see this from somewher... moreWell im in australia working for virgin mobile. The iphones are notoriously buggy. In a new box of 10 phones, we usually have 1 or 2 coming back for various tech faults. The good thing is that apple will replace it instantly. For that reason, I dont really rate the iphone. I have the galaxy s, mines been absolutely fantastic, but I have noticed that they have pretty high failure rate as well. But nothing beats the iphones. This goes for my friends ar the other networks, they all agree

I work in the industry and the most complained about phone is the iPhone 4. People with iPhones dont send them back for repair because Apple make it a chore. This is why the return rate is so low. These figures are simply not accurate. I can't remember the last time I saw a faulty Blackberry.

Anonymous, 10 Nov 2010Mate I think you'll find the percentages are represented as... moreI don't care about the ratio but I think there is a big difference between the last phone Blackberry made and for the 2-years-old phones they made. And it is true for HTC, Moto and the others in the same way so these statistics are biased in what they show.

Ollie Keyworth, 10 Nov 2010How can we trust this data? Do you think this data takes in... moreMate I think you'll find the percentages are represented as a ratio of the total manufacturer phones found faulty compared to the total sold. So the ratio is fair, regardless of who has sold more or less handsets.
This does not suprise me very much at all. Running a phone store, iPhone's and Galaxy S phones have been fantastic sellers, with the largest of issues coming from cracked screens, not with phone faults. The new processors in these phones seem far more reliable and the OS on both these handsets is far more mature than in early days.
Blackberry's have always been notoriously buggy as with Nokia phones as well. Like I said this survey does not surprise me, as this is similar to what I have experienced. Technically here the 3GS is the most reliable phone you can purchase? Still wouldn't be my pick the iPhone 4 is simple and nice, however how juicy does the Desire HD look for a beast.

It would be much more interesting to see this from somewhere else than US. Now the manufacturer I personally believe to be most reliable is missing from the list completely.

I can see that the iPhone is the most reliable! The iOS is definately the most stable OS with more happy customers than unhappy customers.

How can we trust this data? Do you think this data takes into account the overall population and what ratio of handsets they own. Blackberry is obviously going to be a high number because there is a large population of people that own them. I have worked within a phone shop that preforms warranty repairs and have found that the iPhone was by far the most affected. Cracked screens were the most common occurance.

Lol nokia and their symbian phones were not even considered, I feel their is a strong conspiracy going on to ignore nokia and it's products. Though I myself don't like the 5800 that I have and regret having bought this phone still I have dropped it many times and it is still going strong!

Can we know which phones from HTC, Moto, Blackberry and others were used? I am curious have the information smartphone by smartphone or maybe it would show that the best phone is not the iPhone 4...
