Samsung Galaxy Note 2 catches fire on IndiGo flight

23 September 2016
Samsung is now investigating yet another fire caused by a Samsung phone, however, I wouldn’t put the blame on the phone just yet. We’ll get back to why in a moment.

Guys...i have Note2 which i bought in November 2012 and i still use it , hand down its one of the best phone Samsung ever made...it's still in full original condition...and i am still using the original stock battery that came with the phone...yes that's right it's going to be 4years this November and i still use the stock battery...because i took really good care of my phone...!
But there's one issue , 1st 3 years the phone used to easily last me 2 full days , but from just 4-5 months before , it lasts me only 1.5 days or sometimes even less , that means the battery life has started degrading...so i started searching for the new official Note2 battery , but i still didn't found one , there's no stock anywhere...!
So there's a good chance that the person on flight might be using some third-party batteries...!
And people don't you think there's something wrong , why all this phones exploding news only coming after Note7 Exploding scenario...?

I suspect Samsung is getting framed especially by their non-loyal customers

AnonD-75819, 24 Sep 2016My money is on cheap duplicate battery. We Indians love to ... moreThat is one, but other main problem is- many care not to listen to instructions while air travel.

I am sure this fellow must have kept his phone in charging mode ( using duplicate power bank) inspite of instructions for switching off during journey.

It is nothing new. I have seen many fellow Indian travellers( in domestic as well as international flights) ,who ignore this. Simply they say - kya faraq padta hai ( what difference does it make) and continue using and / or charging their mobile.

Myself being an Indian, I feel embarrassed by such indiscipline of us.

I have seen many BMW/ AUDI owners chatting on phone while driving. This is strictly no no. But who cares. With such an irresponsible behaviour of ours we expect to be called a developed country.

We do not become developed by more money, but being more responsible towards others and respecting the law meant for public safety.

There is no one so called tech media(even SamMobile an those with ''Android-blah'' names) that is not run by iguys. That's probably the St.Jobs' ''thermonuclear till the last cent'' legacy.
They just can not find one objective and unbiased popular tech site to read.

Ever noticed that after something significant has happened, incidents of a similar nature seem to pop up constantly for weeks and months. It seems that suddenly and mysteriously more of these things are happening, when in reality it's simply a shift in reporting.

Batteries could have been exploding for years but the media turned a blind eye to it - now that it's news worthy these things get pushed to the surface because they are relevant.
